Converting operations included polystyrene foam extrusion, thermoforming and wood pulp thermoforming. Logistics included both on site manufactured products and a wide variety of complimentary imports. Assembled the infrastructure - staffing, payroll, accounting, legal, licenses, procurement, and systems - necessary to start operations on time and budget; expanding to 24/7 production within two months. Guided the growth of foam extrusion and forming through three successive expansions in four years. Oversaw Oracle PeopleSoft system for logistics including production operations, imports, and warehouse shipments. Introduced AJOVER, S.A. to a tool maker and additive supplier that resulted in annual savings of $250,000. Implemented wood pulp operations, pulping and thermoforming, for food service products. Collaborated with South American plants, introducing U.S. based methods that yielded labor savings of 50% in thermoforming operators, process improvements in extrusion, and on-line quality testing in thermoforming. General Manager, REYNOLDS FOOD PACKAGING MEXICO, Monterrey, Mexico, 2000 - 2003 Reported to the President, Reynolds Food Packaging, with full P&L. Directed a $10 million food packaging business, and 105 employees, that provided products throughout Mexico, Central and South America. • Built a Mexican National Management Team capable of operating to US standards. • Expanded from a regional to a national sales presence in Mexico with a 20% market share. • Led negotiations, design and construction of a 75,000 sq. ft. plant on time and budget.

IVEX PACKAGING, Monterrey, Mexico, 1999 - 2000 A $5 million joint venture that IVEX acquired and needed to significantly upgrade, acquired by ALCOA in 2002 and renamed REYNOLDS FOOD PACKAGING. Operations Manager Reported to the President of M&R Plastics, a subsidiary of IVEX PACKAGING CORPORATION. Led and assimilated operational functions up to US standards. Converting and upgrading operations included the thermoforming of plastics and paper for food packaging applications. • Directed the rebuild of key infrastructure systems; increased the former output two-fold. • Introduced Lean Manufacturing concepts and non-capital tooling upgrades; eliminated 3/10 thermoforming machines.

TUSCARORA INC., New Brighton, PA 1996 – 1999 Custom designer and manufacturer of interior protective packaging for the electronics, automotive and home appliance markets with regional plants of 35 - 140 employees and sales of $5-12 million per plant. Regional Manufacturing Manager Reported to the VP, Manufacturing. Converting operations include chest molding of plastics, integrated multiple materials fabrication, thin and heavy gauge plastics thermoforming. • Oversaw design and renovation of an existing plant; completed within budget and on schedule. • Completed the assimilation of a plant acquisition within 90-days after the former management team remained

intractable for 15 months. • Played a key role on a six-month, four-member due diligence team to evaluate the potential purchase of four plants in

Brazil from BASF; although feasible, economic conditions dictated otherwise.

LINPAC PLASTICS, Sebring, FL 1990 – 1996 A $16.5 million polystyrene packaging plant, 150 employees, which supplied supermarkets, agriculture, and industrial markets. Plant Manager Served as a member of the management team for US operations. • Centralized warehouse and shipping operations via construction of an 80,000 sq. ft. warehouse on time and budget,

for an annualized savings of $200,000. • Coordinated design and installation of an 18-silo material handling system, increased extrusion capacity 45%,

eliminated bottleneck in reclaim, and increased thermoforming capacity 35% by purchasing and installing new and used equipment.

• Achieved a 93% participating rate and 5% contribution rate when a 401k was introduced.
