Parvus City



Parvus is a city that houses creaturesof the insect world. It is dominatedby Mater’s palace, a hive castle thatsits upon the royal oak tree,shadowing the civilisation below.The palace belongs to Mater, thequeen of bees, and she is the mostpowerful figure in Parvus. Before herhive was built, Parvus was a peacefulcity, where all creatures live in

respect of each other. When Materstart her colony in Parvus, sheordered her army to attack the city.She then came into power and a classsystem was formed, dividing citizensby their species.

The bees see the butterflies as a

Mater



Mater is the Queen of Parvus, andthe highest authority in the hive.

She has a very stubborn personalityand does not believe in the concept

of negotiation as her word is law.She takes her role as queen very

seriously as she enjoys the luxuriesa royal lifestyle brings. As for

problems, she pretends they don’texist. If someone has an objection

against any part of her law, they

must be the one to change, not her.Mater’s design is based on Tudor

royalty, she is large anddomineering.

TheRuler of Beasts-

Venenum



Beyond the border of Parvus liesthe wilderness. An expanse offorests, mountains and rivers.Many of the citizens of Parvus

tried to leave the city when Matermoved in, but they were unable toas the wilderness is ruled by

Venenum. She is the queen ofwasps, and has a colony of her own

in the forest. The wasps arebeastly creatures, that feed on the

flesh other insects. Venenumleads them, as the most

intelligent wasp in her colony. Shehas been spying on Parvus and

longs for the power that Mater has.

TheOutcast of Parvus-

Lecti



Lecti is the main character inthis story. He is a bee born with adeformation; he has no sting. Inthe world of the bees, a sting is

what defines a bee. It is a symbolof power and loyalty to the hive.Because Lecti was born without asting, he was discriminated for

it. When Mater hears of hisdeformation, she orders for him

to be killed. However Mater’sservants fail to kill him, and

Lecti escapes the hive and left asan outcast.

TheStory to be Told



Lecti runs away from his hive,because of the discrimination hefaced among his own species. He

now must learn to live with out the

hive, something considered astaboo in his race. Although half ofLecti’s story has been told, the

other half is left to the player todecide what happens. Lecti

discovers that taking on the wasps,and slaying Venenum will

guarantee his place back with thehive. However Lecti also realizes

that Venenum is the one that Materfears most. This could result in thedownfall of Mater, and maybe even

the freedom of Parvus.
