The Quarry Men

Originally formed by John Lennon and high school classmates in Liverpool, England

Aug ’58 – Lennon asks Harrison to join the band

The Quarry men would grow to a seven member band before it disbanded in 1959, due to a lack of gigs

Jan ’60 – John invited college friend Stuart Sutcliffe into the band to play bass– Started playing as Long John and the Silver Beetles
