PRO 4:18 The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.

PSA 37:6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

First Day In creation..From Darkness to Light!

• GEN 1:2 Darkness in a formless, empty world

• V.3 God said, “Let there be light”

• V.4-5 God separated light from the darkness, called it Day!

Walking in Darkness:• You are Blind

(can't see objects in the dark, can't see beam of light)

• You are Lost (can't find your way home/out)

• You are Invisible (you think) - You lie to others; you blind or fool others!

Walking in Darkness:• You are Held by Dark Wisdom.

Arguments/ pretensions/ disobedience, 2CO 10:4-5

• You are Deceived.- self-deceived, or by Satan

• You are Afraid of exposure. You hate the light, would not come to the light. Will not fellowship. Will not accept correction.

Some Manifestations:• Ignorance • Directionless • Lying • Pretending • Anonymity • Dis-fellowshipping• Disobeying• Sinning • Deceiving others

1. Awakened, v.14 Not ignorant. Actively aware of God’s will (v17) & what pleases the Lord (v10).– EPH 4:17-19 Not like Gentiles! – JOH 12:35 Walk while you have the

light, before darkness overtakes you. The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going.

2. Enlightened, v.8-9 Christ shines on you. Living as Light (visible); with fruits of light v.9 and distinct: exposing deeds of darkness! – EPH 1:17-18 Illuminated,

understood God’s revelation. – EPH 4:14 not deceived!

3. Inspired. V.18-19 Filled with the Holy Spirit. Intoxicated –Not hiding from light. JOH

3:21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

4. Obedient – EPH 5:5-6 as opposed to children of disobedience (do not partner with them); Visible obedience, v11-12. Discovering then doing the will of God!

5. United in Fellowship, with God and with the people of light! – 1JO 1:6-7 If we walk in the

light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
