in the market but my overall confidence in my ability to

What's Involved?
• The two-part accreditation program
enables you to show what you’ve done
and what you can do
• The underpinning premise of the
accreditation is to validate what the
practitioner does, not just ‘what they
know’
Accreditation Part 1
• Provide information about your work
in the context of the behaviours in the
Competency Model
• Provide the following:
• Your resume
• Past client or employer referee
details (at least three contact
points)
• An outline of change roles in five,
250-word sections
• A 2000 word essay
• The Assessor must find sufficient
evidence of all the skill topic areas in
the Competency Model
Reach for a S.T.A.R!
All essays must adhere to the 'STAR' model format:
• Situation –The situation to set the context
• Task –The role you played
• Actions –What you did and how
• Results –What you achieved
Part 1 – Assessment
• Assessors will review the essays against the
competency model
• Assessors are senior, well respected
and accredited change management

observation in the workplace so an external
agency specialising in competency based
reference checks will interview the referees
to determine the degree the practitioner
demonstrated the required competencies
• Applicants will be advised of the outcome of
Part 1 within six weeks of lodgement
• Approximately 80% of applicants succeed
and move to Part 2
Accreditation Part 2
• An assessment workshop
conducted by two accredited
assessors
• Case study to analyse, develop
and present a change strategy
• Assessors identify and record the
behaviours demonstrated through
the presentation
Accreditation Part 2 cont…
• One-on-one assessor interviews review
the presentation
• Assessors advise on the day if the
applicant has passed
