Chalk Artists are invited to participate in the 2nd Annual Chalk It Up! Sidewalk Chalk Art Competition to be held February 23, 2019 on Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach in conjunction with the City of New Smyrna’s Art Fiesta. The many Art Fiesta attendees will delight in strolling along Canal Street to view the chalk creations. The chalk artists will begin at the intersection of Canal Street and Sams Avenue in New Smyrna Beach, extending West along Canal Street.

Registration for the Chalk It Up! Sidewalk Chalk Art registration is at 9am and the event ends at 4pm. Judging will then take place and the Awards Ceremony begins at 5pm. Free registration for all! Monetary awards will be given in all categories. Please refer to details on The Hub on Canal website www.theHUBoncanal.org.

8-9am Registration in front of The Hub on Canal, 132 Canal Street 4pm End time for chalk artwork to be judged 5pm Awards Ceremony (artists encouraged to be in attendance) NOTE: There will be water and snacks for chalk artists. A light lunch will also be available at The Hub on Canal.

Indicate on the registration form the category for your entry: Adult Professional, Adult Amateur, High School, Middle School, Elementary School or Family Group (any combination of adult and child). Individuals or teams of 2 are invited to register. Type of artwork: Day of event please indicate Original, Photograph (show the photo and credit the photographer) or Masterpiece (name the artwork and credit the artist) There will be a chalk pack for the first 30 registrations. School teams will all receive a chalk pack. Spaces (4’X4’) will be assigned on a first come-first serve basis.
