This week at playgroup

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome Back!

We hope you enjoyed the half term sunshine and had fun with your little ones. Marie has been very busy over the half term revamping the setting and getting ready for the spring term. We also had lots of fun at the Valentines party, we saw some great dancing and the children enjoyed some traditional party games, and of course the chocolate treats!

We have lots of exciting things planned for this term with Mothers Day, World Book Day and of course Easter.

We are welcoming some new starters this week, Grayson, Lenny and Shae we are sure you will have lots of fun and we welcome you into the playgroup family.

WORLD BOOK DAY

Next week we will be celebrating World Book Day children can dress up as their fa -vourite characters on Tuesday and Thursday. We also have book tokens for all of the children so you can purchase and new book to read at home.

WOODLAND WARRIORS NEWS

Forest Tribe Friends are delighted to be working in partnership with Playgroup after February half term.

Melanie will be working with Marie and Lisa to reintroduce the inspirational process of Forest School to playgroups Woodland Warriors Thursday club.

Forest School offers ALL of the children the opportunity to achieve and develop confidence and self esteem through ‘small achievable tasks’ this may be scrambling to the top of a muddy slope using ropes or learning to light and cook on an open fire.

As Melanie is a qualified Forest School leader, we will be able to include additional activities like using real tools and cooking on fires, these are really popular parts of the Forest School experience, so its wonderful that the children will now be able to have these activities as part of their weekly club sessions.

It’s an exciting partnership between Playgroup and Forest Tribe Friends, and we can’t wait to get going with our first session on the 28th Feb.

Please contact us if you would like your child to attend the first session. Limited places avail-able.

Session price remains at £15 1-3pm all equipment and snack included.

CARRIE THE PHOTOGRAPHER IS BACK!

This is a great opportunity to have the family/children photographed. We have used Carrie for many years and she always takes gorgeous photos.

WHEN? 16th March

WHO? ALL families are welcome, you don't have to attend playgroup.

£5 for the sitting, There is a minimum of 5 families required for the day to go ahead.

Each family will have a 20 mins time slot.

Please contact playgroup or comment below if you wish to book a slot.

VOLUNTEERS

We are always looking for parent/friends volunteers and “bank” staff if you are interested then please email csg_playgroup@btinternet.-com.

WOODLAND ADVENTURES ON TUESDAY

We will be going to the woods on Tuesday morning, please ensure children are dressed appropriately and please can

we remind parents to send spare clothes/shoes on the days we go to the woods particularly when it is very wet and cold. This is for ALL children not just those in nappies.
