Chad James Copeland joined the Army 30 April 1992. He entered as a PV2 11B assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment at Ft. Benning, GA. Recruited as a Presidential Escort at the 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), White House escort for President Bush and Clinton.
Accepted to Warrant Officer Flight school 1994, assigned as an OH-58 pilot Wijonbu Korea, 2nd Inf Div. Follow on assignments: 1997 AH-64 pilot,3-229th Attack Helicopter Battalion Ft.Bragg, (deployed Bosnia and Egypt),1999 6th Cav Korea (Overwater Survival Training Officer, Pacific Rim), 2001 UH-60 (Maintenance Officer) 1109th CTARNG (CT National Guard)(Kuwait and Iraq)
Joined the FLARNG in 2009, first direct commission in 6 years, 254th Asst S3, 1218th Platoon Leader, XO, and Commander.
