Photo 6Photo 5 At Turtle Top, our proprietary testing and compliance program ensures product safety and durability. Our goal is to meet and exceed Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). To do so, we utilize the Federal Bus Research & Testing Center (BRTC) and MGA Research Component Body Body Strength Testing (Photo 5). These tests conrm that our vehicles are among the safest in the industry. Seating components, seat belt assemblies, and all corresponding mounting precedures exceed FMVSS standards (photo 6). Shown in photo 7 is our window test, which withstood over 315 lbs of pressure. 200 gallons of water per minute are used to locate potential leaks in our continuous-water test (photo 8). This is performed on every vehicle before it is put on the road. As you can see, we make we make your safety a TOP priority.

Construction of a Turtle Top vehicle begins at the oor starting with G-chan-nel cross members that stretch from wall to wall (photo 1) followed by a full perimeter frame (photo 2). Most of the weight from the construction of the cage ends up on the exterior perimeter frframe where the walls meet and seats are installed. Center aisle stiffeners built of reverse cap steel C-channel (photo 3) prevents the aisle from sagging after years of op-eration. The seat tracks also mounted on reverse cap steel C-channels have been tested and certied to exceed DOT standards The contoured walls add stength, aerodynamic wind advantages and aes-thetics that complement the quality and style. Steel corner window gussets (photo 4) add perimeter sidewall strength and create a solid built frame for the window that prevents window sags and sags and water leaks. All welds are made with a continuous bead as op-posed to spot welding.
