Larger cards cannot be formatted. (1GB is approximately 1000MB) Using major brands such as Sandisk, Panasonic, and Lexar is preferred. Important Note: Do not use cards that are considered "Hi Speed" or that are labeled "Ultra" or "Extreme". We recommend using cards that are 45X or SLOWER. BR-900CD BR-600 BR-864
