Googles new Wallet may not be like your conventional leather wallet by Fossil or Tommy but it is as uone. Googles Wallet is a mobile application that can be installed in any Android smart phone and can hold al

cessary card information. For payments, it uses NFC (near field communication) technology where card detai

ptured just by waving the mobile phone and the bills are paid on a tap. Now, payments at a grocery store wou

uch faster and convenient over fumbling for cards /cash/coupons. Apart from paying bills in-store, Google w

n also hold the loyalty or gift card information. When you are ready for the payment, at POS, the application

ll all the information on redeem offers or will credit the loyalty points automatically.

How secure these new generation wallets are? Does it mean that thieves need not carry a razor or a kn

ck-pocket but all they need is another mobile device and a small hacking program to retrieve the information

meones mobile wallet? That would be new-generation pick-pocketing.

ell, Google wallet asks you to set a wallet PIN during the initial setup and will ask for PIN before making

rchase. Also, the information in the mobile wallet can be used only when the user sw itches on the application

is about to pay at the POS. Google wallet along with Mastercard provides many layers of security during

yment. Apart from phone locking security, this application also builds a secure element inside the phone by us

ip. It runs the programs and stores data in an encrypted format. Only trusted programs can access this seement and your card credentials stay secured.

t, is this digital wallet more convenient and as good as your conventional wallet? Can you pay or transfer d

ep your digital driving license in your mobile wallet? Can it hold your business cards in digital form that can be

u may still be carrying you leather wallet for these when you go out, but not for long as the revolution has begu

The Agile development methodology, often touted as a common sense methodology for Software development, rective communication as its foremost motivating factor for successful execution. It is well understood that face-t

munication is by far the most effective method of interaction. This is applicable during requirements clarification, pla

elopment, review and testing in addition to various other phases of the software development lifecycle. In the contex

shore strategy or Collaborative Distributed Software Development, collaboration via face-to-face communication is la

There are various tools and techniques available to mitigate the risk associated with the lack of face-tmunication with the offshore team. Some examples include Tandberg/TelePresence based video confer

bEx/LiveMeeting based white-boarding, Extended working hours enabling overlap times between onsite and offshore, et

t of the above techniques tend to create a mundane work atmosphere. But How do I ensure that all the team members

Virtual spaces are 3D collaborative immersion environments that are available for a specific period of time to better

Iwas trying to understand what this Go green is all about and the fuzz surrounding it. Go-greens commercial nt really be understated. Any product tagged Go green claims a premium price in the market as compared to its peers

ow this tag is being exploited by the business world would be a no-brainer. People have started talking about climate ch

obal warming, saving the earth, importance of growing more trees, recycling resources, conserving energy, leaving a better w

r our children and grandchildren like never before. Some scientists even claim that the pace at which the arctic glaciers

ould deplete entire land mass in few decades. Some other scientists refute the claims and there is a lot of debate on this iss

uldnt really separate the facts and the myths on this issue. So I decided to do some thinking, based on common s

rspective and write this article based on my research.

Let me share some basic understandings on Go Green, which simply means reducing the carbon footprint. Now w

arbon footprint mean. Carbon footprint is the total set of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused by an organization, eoduct or person. For simplicity of reporting, it is often expressed in terms of carbon dioxide. So what is a greenhouse gas? T

in simple terms, greenhouse gasesare a set of gases present in the earths atmosphere that aide to greenhouse effect

eenhouse effect is a process by which thermal radiation from earths surface is absorbed by the atmospheric greenhouse g

d is re-radiated back into the earths surface. This helps in maintaining the earths normal temperature that we live in. If no

ese gases and their effect on earths surface, the earth would have been uninhabitable because of relatively lower temperat

llowing are the four major greenhouse gases and their percentile contribution to the greenhouse effect: water vapor (367

    rbon dioxide (926%), methane (49%), ozone (37%).

Greenhouse gases are emitted through the production and consumption of fuels, manufactured goods, materials, w

nstruction of roads, buildings, bridges and also through mining and land clearance. As the emission of greenhouse g

creases, the density of them in the atmosphere increases which in turn re-radiates more thermal radiation back into the e

rface thereby raising the surface temperature of the earth. This partly explains what is global warming.Lets get another perspective of this issue, going by recorded history; the population in the year 1804 is roughly abo

lion. The current population stands at about 7 billion. And we humans depend completely on the nature and its resource

ery walk of our lives. Especially our dependence on non-renewable resources is even more alarming, as you know; they ar

oing to be there forever. We consume a lot and we dispose a lot, unmindful of what we are doing to the environment that w

ing in. The more we consume and dispose, the more the greenhouse gas emission and the more the increase in temperature

ot everything about global warming and climate change can be discarded as myths. Our mindless consumption and dispo

titude have already started having its effect on our environment. Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a classic example of one

titude. Its a "plastic soup" that primarily has our disposed wastes which are floating in the Pacific Ocean. With our rut

nsumption, we are not only risking our eco-system, we are risking our planet and our ability to live on it.

Now I get some idea of what this go-green is all about, but how can we support Go Green. Well, it is an attitudinal shmindset change and it cant happen overnight. We cant really study every process involved in the making of every product

e consume, evaluate the amount of greenhouse gases in that process and decide whether to use it or not. But we can

aking our choices by using more eco-friendly product and by being shrewder with energy consumption choices. Taking a

ansport system instead of a car for work, taking our own eco-friendly bags for supermarket purchases, using low p

onsumption lamps, leaving your computers switched off at the end of the dayare some of the day-to-daygo-greentas

    uld engage ourselves with.

Lets make our contributions for the better world, our future generations will live in, for what we have now was given

our ancestors. It becomes our duty to safeguard what we have and pass it on to our children for they have every right to e

tures wealth and beauty without harming her. Tomorrow may be too late!!

The drive to Mt. Rushmore was so scenic

breathtaking. There is no better picture as Nature itself. T

national monument at Mt Rushmore has a sculpture carved of Granite Mountain, depicting the former United Sta

Presidents, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theod

    Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.

We then headed towards the scenic Needles Highway

the Sylvan Lake & Custer Park. Sylvan Lake is an extra-ordin

landscape. The rocks which lay on the ends of the water give

unique appearance, yet unquestionably underline the fact t

we are in the Black Hills. It is a location that can provide all t

recreation you're wishing for. Its the best picnic spot ever!!

It is always nice to discover places and nicer to disco

new routes to the places. Leaving aside the little stress t

prevailed while losing our way to the Badlands, we found

amusing and amazing all along the roads, watching the beaut

landscape with literally no vegetation and only peaks of sand

The season changes and its a ritual of life, and our moods too incline for trips and lot more fun activitIt so happened on the Memorial Day weekend too. A plan suddenly chalked out on the day before, six of us set o

trip to Mt. Rushmore & Badlands. The Western Region of South Dakota, comprising Black Hills, Badlands and

Lakes region, which has a lot to offer for a three day trip. The whole place is surrounded by majestic gran

spikes, pine covered mountains and sharp rock outcrops.

We reached Badlandson time, to enjoy the marvelous

set! The beautiful orange rays falling on the sedimentary rocks of different shapes, canyons, ravines, threw a wrange of colors. The colors alternate from dark black/blue coal strips to bright clays to red sand. The whole pl

was fascinating and you cant doubt the skill of the eternal creator. In Bear country, a good number of be

walked side by side with us. The teddy bear dolls that we have at home are just less good looking than the r

ones, I can vouch. We also visited Cosmos, a place where Newtons theory of gravitation has to be recollected

thought of. A house built crooked on the top of the hill tried to defy the force of gravity and we can f

mysterious forces against us. Is it a true natural phenomenon or an illusion? I couldnt conclude. However, a go

place to visit. On the way back to Omaha, we visited the worlds only Corn Palace in Mitchell.

The whole trip was fun and proved that nature is the best entertainer!!!

Basket Ball dairies from Chennai FD-Cognizant!!

Breaking away from the monotony and the glum of routine daily work, it was indeed a perfect dresequence. Associates sweating it out, perfecting their aims at the loop, refining their dribbling skills and impro

on passing, jump stops and defensethis speaks up for the widely favored FD-Basketball Championship.

Seven teams namely Casanova, Extream, Vision Plus Valihavgal, City Rocks, VQC, S5 and SSUPDATE B

took part in the tournament. Each and every team had members who were endowed with special talents for

game. But basketball is not about individual talent, it is about pure teamwork and game plan. After the in

round-robin matches, there were four teams vying for the spot in the finals; Casanova clashing against the

Rocks and the Vision Plus Valihavgal locking their horns with the Extream.

    When it is

    played the way it is

    supposed to be played,

    basketball happens in

    elevated above the floor,

    levitating the way

    oppressed people of this

    earth imagine

    themselves in their

    dreams. John Edgar

    Wideman

During the tournament, the Navalur basketball co

became the center of entertainment for all of us. The atmosph

was electric and the decibel-levels of cheerleaders were way habove the permissible limits. The semi-finals were fier

competitive with teams fighting tooth and nail. Flagrant fo

blocking and charging were testimony to the intense aggression.

Both the matches ended up with a tight score-line

eventually the Casanova and Extream teams booked their spots

the much-awaited finals. The first-half ended with almost an e

score-line while in the second-half the Casanovas outplayed

Extream with some excellent passing and accurate shots. Te

Extream fought till the last buzzer and it was the Casanovas

emerged as the Champions. Congrats team!

Narasi and Kevin handed over the Championship Trophy to the victors in the midst of thunderous appla

which was followed up by emphatic celebrations. It had its own share of jubilating wins and agonizing losses, but

most important thing was the enthusiasm amongst the participants, the non-participants and the on-lookers. W
