My second model to be diagrammed is this Lion. It’s base is a sunken fish base with a bird base at
the center top, and a very simple trick in the larger flap to get ears.
The square - model ratio is 0.3 So you can practice it with a square from an A4 sheet of
paper.As usual it’s better folding the base from the
pattern to get a cleaner model.

10. Fold acording the creases while pushing in where the arrow points. The model will not lie flat.
11. Bring the corners to the center flattening the model
12. Reverse fold corners.
13. Crease bisecting the angles Turn Over
14. From here we build the birbase at the top. Squash and push the lower valley.
15. Squash to the left, forming a preliminary fold
16. Reverse fold to complete the bird base. Turn Over.
17. Open Sink following the creases in step 13. Turn upside down.
18. Fold from the half in rigth angle
19. Fold and unfold bisecting the angle. 20. Repeat 18-19 on the other side 21. Valley left side while Squashing the right side
22. Bring flap to the right, squashing the top 23. Pull out hidden Paper 24. Mountain back the lower right flap
25. Bring the corner of the flap to the edge Unfold
26. Reverse fold 27. Like this. Zoom in
28. Squash up. Follow precreases. 29. Mountain upper flap by the half. Bring down the tip down, and fold right top layer to the left.
30. Bring the tip up and to the right as far as it goes.
31. This maneuver is like step 29 but folding the left falp in half
32. Reverse fold tip inside. 33. Valley aligning the lower edge with the landmark. Repeat behind

37. Double Rabbit ear bringing tip to the right and aligning the bottom edges.

40. Reverse fold the ear to shape it. Repeat behind.
41. Mountain back to shape the head. Repeat behind.
42. Mountain the lower corner of the face. Repeat behind. Form the nose with a simple valley fold.
43. Fold the flap as far as it goes. Unfold Repeat behind.
44. Crimp aligning the mountain fold with the landmark.
45. Bring up flap. Repeat behind
46. Fold down legs. Repeat behind. 47. Place leg behind the mane. Pull out paper. Repeat behind
48. Shape mane and legs with reverse folds.
49. Crimp Legs, and double rabbit ear tail. 50. Crimp hind legs first and front legs later aligning their ground lines. Repeat behind.
51. Reverse fold the tip of the front feet. Thin front legs and shape mane with round mountains. Crimp and spread the tail.
52. Shape back and belly with round mountains too. Repeat behind.
53. Fold back the corner of the mane. Repeat behind.
54. Finished Lion.
