Global Health Pharmacy Certificate Course• Innovative course set to raise critical thinkers,

specifically pharmacists in the field of Global Health.

• First time it will be held in West Africa.• Piloted in Asia at the Management Sciences

University, Malaysia and in Africa at the University of Rwanda.

• Short course with a maximum duration of three (3) days.

• Short term goals – To raise critical thinkers in pharmacy who are able to

contribute to debates and challenges in global health through • development of articles for journals.• engaging in educational and scientific researches.• submission and presentation of abstracts in

international conferences.– To expose participants to intricacies of applying for

grants to carry out global health related projects.– To provide for participants a platform for networking

with other global health leaders in Africa through mentorships and networking.


Global Health Pharmacy Certificate Course• Long term goals– To groom leaders who would seat at leadership and

decision making positions in national, regional and international health organizations

– To raise individuals who will in the next five (5) years mentor other young pharmacists in global health.

– To raise individuals who lead advocacy of global health issues through evidence based policies.

– To build a pool of pharmacists who are willing to contribute their best to actualization of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals SDGs.
