Nurse Audit: Secondary Review ProcessTo refer the patient encounter for Secondary Review:
1. Open the patient chart and go to the Care Management tab on the TOC
2. Go to the Utilization Review Mpage
3. Click the blue plus sign under the Clinical Review component to open the Clinical Review Editor on the right hand side of the screen.
4. In the Guideline drop down, choose the option for Manual – enter the date and time.
Click Begin Documentation.
5. Once the Manual Review opens – you must fill in all REQUIRED fields which are indicated in yellow.
6. When finished with all documentation fields - Mark the review as “Met” or “Not Met” at the bottom of the screen and then click Save.
7. Now you can send the message for Secondary Review.a. Click the Secondary Review button under the Time field.
8. In the Recipient field, click the Personal Address List button and choose the Secondary Review pool as the recipient.
9. Fill in the remaining fields as appropriate.10. Last, choose the desired Notification Options and enter your free text message at the bottom.
11. Click Send Request
To Delete a Review that was entered in Error:1. Click on the date link for the desired Review to open it in the Review Editor window.
2. In the Review Editor Window, click the Properties Icon and choose “Delete Review”.
Message Center
To see Notifications1. If you chose to be notified of certain actions when you sent a Secondary Review, those notifications can be seen directly from the
tool bar.
2. Click on the Notification Indicator to open Message Center.
3. Click on Notify Receipts to see the list of notifications in the window. Under the Subject column, you can see the reason for the notification.
To see a list of Sent Items1. You can also access Message Center by clicking Message Center in the Tool Bar.
2. In the Notifications section on the left hand menu, choose Sent Items. This will show a list of all the items you recently sent along with to whom and when they were sent.
