GROUP STRATEGYDevelopment of research on natural resources dynamics and management. Integration of social dimension on sustainable resource management activities.

Find solutions to solve forest resource management problems which affect Portugal and Centre Region.

Propose new projects that will target the research areas of climate change, forest fires, and silvicultural systems.

Good communication between researchers due to geographical

proximity and Professional relations

Good location near areas with high potential of research

Good interconnection between teaching, experimental work and

research, which provides excellent conditions to disseminate knowledge

with the end-users
