MAIN CEREALS’ PESTSInsects are responsible for the most important qualitative and quantitative losses of stored cereal. Strong attacks can cause temperature and humidity rises and can also cause fungal attacks (producing mycotoxins). Many trasformers and exporters of foodstuff require a cereal absolutely free of insects so as to be sold or to be allocated to processing and seed production.

PEST CONTROLOF EMPTYSILOS ANDWAREHOUSESPest control is an essential factor for a correct preservation of cereals and it must be carried out before the cereal is stored in empty silos and/or warehouses, after a deep cleaning from powders and other residues. This treatment consists of making specific knock-down/residual actions, fogging on the walls, floors, ceilings, redler, elevators, hoppers, etc.. This eliminates all present insects (at all stages) and prevents the infestation of pests from outside.

EQUIPMENT

VECTORFOG® C100/C150 ULV FOGGER

This compact cold fogger is one of the most powerful and durable ULV machines in the market today. Equipped with a solenoid valve made out of Teflon and our exclusive1250 Watt motor. This fogger can produce a powerful flow rate between 30-60 LPH (litre per hour) and can easily cover an area of 100 m² in less than a minute.

With an adjustable droplet size between 5-50 microns, this fogger can quickly apply disinfectants, biocides

or insecticides to erradicate vector carriers and pests.

CEREALS PROTECTION

EMPTY SILOS AND WAREHOUSES

The sanitizing operations allow you to eliminate a substantial portion of microorganisms whose cells and spores find favourable conditions for their survival and proliferation.However, the only cleaning and cleansing, although scrupulous, doesn’t guarantee the complete removal of microbial contaminants. To eliminate pathogenic microorganisms we must also associate a correct disinfection against bacteria-fungus-virus.

DOSAGE0,5% (5 ml of product in 1 lt of water) for normal infestations.

1% (10 ml of product in 1 lt of water) for heavy infestations.

5 lt of solution are sufficient to disinfect 100-150 m² of surface.

CEREALSPROTECTION IN WAREHOUSESFor the preservation of stored cereals is necessary to make preventive, curative and maintenance interventions.The treatments in incoming cereals can be made with READY TO USE LIQUID PRODUCTS, with CONCENTRATED PRODUCTS TO BE DILUTED IN WATER, or with READY TO USE DRY POWDERS.

It is essential to apply the products properly to have a complete result on insects that infest cereals.Once you choose the right equipment according to your needs, it is important to evaluate carefully:1. the type of nozzle,2. the correct position/installation of the nozzles.This is important factor for a success treatment, to avoid product losses and to obtain a greater effectiveness of the product used.

FAN NOZZLE (flat jet)This type of nozzle is used when you have to treat on conveyor belts or on a thin layer of cereal. The product is uniformly distributed throughout the layer of cereal in movement. You must arrange the nozzle carefully to a height such as to involve the entire width of the cereal’s layer.

CONE NOZZLE This type of nozzle is used when the cereal has a movement of free fall, redler, augers, etc. because the atomization cone invests better the kernels of cereal.

Once the equipment has been installed you must calibrate the flow pump based on the hourly flow of redler, augers, conveyor belts , etc.. and the type of nozzle or nozzles installed.

CEREAL-SAN® is a compact unit used for pest control of cereals.

Its strength, flexibility and ease of use, make it an ideal product for use also in extreme conditions. Its distribution system, with pressure gauge attached to the pump, can work with 3 spray lines of which one can be used for the possible insertion of a sprayer (optional). CEREAL-SAN® can be equipped with

a control system of level of the product in the tank (optional) to lock the pump when

the product is finished.

They can be used alone or mixed for a greater effectiveness in the control of arthropods (insects and mites) at all stages of development.

This pump is suitable for the dosage of concentrated products for the protection of cereals. Power, portability and versatility make this machine unique in its kind. It is equipped with 2 electric motors powered in parallel [that run 2 pumps, one of which controls the pressure (OBL)] and 2 independent tanks: the first one for the water, with the possibility of direct input from a tap, while the second for the product.

Its distribution system is able to work with 4 locations. The product and water are mixed at the time of

use in order for maximum effectiveness as insecticide.

DOSAGE DIRECT TREATMENT ONCEREALS: 9-17 ml/ton.The dose for 1 q of cereals is from 0.9 to 1.7 ml of the product dispersed in an average amount of 100 ml of water.DIRECT TREATMENT ON THE CEREALS BAGS:Prepare a suspension of 1.2-2.8 liters in 100 liters of water and use it inextent of 50 ml for each m² of surface.

PYGRAIN® AMESOLV®

Environments and cereals in biologic farming can be treated with insecticides based on natural pyrethrum extract.

PYGRAIN® is an insecticide made with only natural pyrethrum. To increase the “wettability” and adhesiveness on the cereal can be associated to PYGRAIN® a solvent of vegetable origin (AMESOLV®) in 1:1 ratio.

For optimal performance it is recommended to apply the products in the coolest and not very bright hours of the day.

COMPOSITION Pyrethrum extract 50%: 4 gr

DOSAGE 80-100 ml/ton.Dilute 6-8% in water in dependence of the degree of infestation.Spray 1 liter of emulsion on 10 quintals of cereals, that is 20 liters of emulsion ready for use are sufficient to treat 20 ton of cereals.

CEREAL-SAN® AIR is compressed air equipment for the treatment of pest on

cereals. It is composed of:• 1 stainless steel tank.

• Distribution system, with manometer fixed on the tank, that consists of: 3 turns with ball valve, for two spraying stations and a third station for the insertion of a hand lance (optional) and/or for a control system of pressure (optional) to stop the delivery if the product is finished in
