'A(A) este o arma de asalt produsa in 'ranta de catre compania (A), cu

sediul in )aint*+tienne, si care la momentul actual face parte din grupul Ne,ter,

patronat de guvernul francez.

Denumirea 'A(A) este de fapt o abreviere si provine de la 'usil d-Assaut

de la (anufacture d-Armes de )aint +tienne, sau, in traducere, Arma de

asalt fabricata in Saint Etienne.Proiectul acestei arme a luat nastere in anul %6" pe

cand directorul fabricii era aul Tellie, iar primul model a fost fabricat in

anul %"%.Armata franceza a inceput sa analizeze arma in 1972.mediat au aparut

probleme la fabricarea modelului, iar cand in 197! armata franceza a participat

alaturi de belgieni la /atalia din 0ol1ezi desfasurata in #e$ublica 2air,

militarii au inceput sa caute o inlocuitoare pana ce problemele se vor rezolva cuproductia "A#AS$ului.nitial s$a luat in considerare ec%iparea soldatilor cu

favoarea armei )G 5& produsa de compania germana )7G.Acestea au fost insa

doar temporare pana cand erau produse destule arme "A#AS, model pe care in

197! armata l$a acceptat ca fiind standard.Adoptarea acesteia a dus la inlocuirea

vec%ilor $usti semi*automate (A)* si a $istolului mitraliera (AT*

e,em$lare.'otusi au aparut probleme decostructie.De e&emplu partile fabricatedin plastic se crapau foarte usor, iar de multe ori incarcatoarele pur si simplu sareau

de la locul lor nefiind de cea mai inalta calitate datorita bugetului slab alocat de

guvernul francez.F1 a fost urmat de modelul (1 care venea cu mici imbunatatiri

precum prinderi refacute si un buton de siguranta mai mare pentru utilizarea cu

manusi insa a ramas doar un concept, nefiind produs vreodata.

'A(A) G8 a fost produs in % pentru a se ridica la nivelul impus de NATO in

ceea ce priveste incarcatorul dar a venit de asemenea cu alte cateva imbunatatiri

precum manere din fibra de sticla in loc de plastic asa cum puteau fi intalnite la
