The gas two phase handling capability has led to a broad application for supply with general use for several LPG applications. Handling of fuel at reshipment points and large tank plants. Handling of liquid gas at reshipment points and large gas depots, fire extinguishing plants sprinkling and irrigation plants emptying of fuel trucks filling of high tanks, airfield refuelling cars. Centrifugal pumps of the series UEA with NPSH inducer stage are applied for trouble-free pumping under unfavourable conditions at suction side. The capability of the pumps in this series to handle liquids at the boiling point, allows a wide-ranging application when handling: LPG Hydrocarbon condensates Hydrocarbon liquefied gases DESIGN Horizontal centrifugal pumps of the segmental type with closed impellers and a suction stage. The suction stage is installed at discharge side. It is arranged in parallel to the last liquid handling stage and operates acc. to the sucking-through principle. The design UEA has an axial inlet with NPSH inducer stage. The axial thrust is compensated by single-impeller relief. The remaining axial thrust are compensated by antifriction bearings of sufficient size. A hydraulically favourable re-routing is done by means of guiding . devices in the stage casings. The vertically to the axis divided casings are sealed by O-rings and the connected through external casing connection screws. A special priming stage separate and eliminate disturb gas phases. An installation of a bypass valve is recommended to ensure that the maximum pressure and admissible minimum flow of the pump is maintained. In order to compensate for the fluctuation in vapour pressure over the seasons this valve is designed as back pressure-regulated bypass valves. That means, this valve is opening at a set differential pressure of the pump, seasons independent. Minimum flow by free flow control valve: Used if operating pressure is < 1 bar below max pressure, minimum flow less than 25 % of operating flow! If a by pass valve can not be used the of admissible minimum flow can be controlled by a free flow control valve . This valve is designed for automatic control of the required pump minimum flow. The minimum flow should be less than 25 % of max. flow.
