LINKING THE NATION

Diane Gray, President & CEO, CentrePort Canada, was recently featured in Supply Chain Canada, the official magazine of the Supply Chain Management Association.

This quarterly magazine was released at their recent national conference, ‘Linking the Nation’, held in Winnipeg, June 14-16.

To read about how Manitoba’s capital is reviving its roots as a vital supply chain link and how CentrePort is transforming Winnipeg into an inland port, click here.

‘From the early days of the fur trade to the pivotal role the region played during the mass influx of European settlers to Western Canada at the turn of the 20th century, Winnipeg naturally falls into the role of clearing house for both people and products. That’s why it’s no surprise the Manitoba capital is home to CentrePort Canada, an ambitious, visionary project designed to have a major, lasting impact on the province’s economic future.’

CentrePort Canada Executive Director of Marketing and Communica-tions, Carly Edmundson, is currently featured in Red River College’s 2017 billboard advertising campaign. This campaign not only celebrates Red River College graduates, but showcases the innovative work of organiza-tions such as CentrePort Canada and is an opportunity to highlight the possibilities right here in Manitoba for the labour force of the future.

Carly recently had the opportunity to speak about CentrePort’s Marketing Partnerships Program with Jared Story of Red River College (excerpt below). Click here to read the full interview!

“Many local businesses recognized there was tremendous growth and development happening at CentrePort and were looking for a way to engage in that activity,” Edmundson says. “The Marketing Partnerships Program is a program that mixes business development and referrals with marketing methods to get all the great companies we have here in Winnipeg in front of the new businesses that are locating to the inland port.”

“It’s helped us in more ways than I intended. It’s great that we have these compa-nies that are connecting with our new businesses, but they’ve also unintentionally become brand ambassadors. I think the reason people are starting to hear more about CentrePort is because of our partners. They’re having a good experience with us, they’re excited and telling others.”
