Centre for Social Responsibility Research
Centre for Social Responsibility Research was established on 19 February 2014 as a
second level department at KTU School of Economics and Business.
Objective of Centre for Social Responsibility Research – gathering of scientists for
performance of scientific and applied research, dissemination of ideas of social
responsibility, development of responsible future entrepreneurs.
Centre is managed by prof. habil. dr. Žaneta Simanavičienė.
Main fields of centre's research:
School of responsible entrepreneur
Main objective of the school - education of young leaders for responsible business of the
21st century, based on innovations and social responsibility. Teaching process involves
acquaintance with contemporary business environment straight from the mouths of
entrepreneurs, generation of ideas, basic knowledge of establishment and management
of responsible business, innovative technology laboratories and other various activities.
Responsible consuming
Objective - performance of scientific research in the areas of responsible consuming,
impact of companies' socially responsible activities on consumers' decisions, social
marketing; contribution to development of consumers' responsibility and education of
consumers.
Contemporary city and region
Objective – forming and dissemination of the concept of contemporary city and region,
complying with up-to-date requirements of life, labour, business, learning and
accessibility; promotion of its practical viability at urban and regional level.
Socially responsible technological development
Objective – performance of critical research, analysing expression of contemporary
technologies and processes in organization and society; and dissemination of ideas of
socially responsible technological development and processes.
Social accountability
Objective - development of methodological and qualitative research of social
accountability.
