The World’s First Solution for Integrated Cable Testing

and Labeling

Fluke Networks & Brother Mobile Solutions

Revolutionizing the Testing of Installed Cable Systems

The ability to centralize data will revolutionize processes around installed cable systems

June 2016 Brother and Fluke introduced a simple, innovative solution to centralize ‘and retrieve’ data across multiple tools

The new LabelLink app will help cut costs and increase quality of cabling installations

Taking Note of the Industry’s Pain Points

Leading pain points:• Sufficient time to complete

installation project• Managing test results

Ongoing Challenge

Properly & accurately documenting installed cabling systems has been a challenge for years.

• At the heart of the issue – the data for an installed system is housed in multiple databases and used on multiple tools, including testing tools.

• Can this data be centralized?

• Can it then be accessed by everyone who needs it?

Solution Overview

Game Changing Solution – LabelLink Mobile Application

June 21, 2016: Two top global brands unveil the world’s first on-the-jobsite workflow solution for printing cable and ID labels from data generated in planning and testing phase

Enables faster, more efficient on-site labeling/testing of network cabling systems

Currently a US-only solution

Brother LabelLink™ is a FREE app available for iOS

Cloud-Based Solution Bridges the Gap Between Office and Jobsite

Measurable Benefits

With centralized data and these tools the field technician can access project data for testing and label printing!

A game changer for labeling installed cable systems

Here’s how it works…

Step 2: Next you will need the Brother LabelLink App. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/brother-labellink/id1110899380

Step 1: First you will need a LinkWare Live account. https://www.linkwarelive.com/signup

Both are free and take just seconds to establish!

Here’s how it works…

Step 3: Load the project data; cable identifiers and test parameters into LinkWare Live

Step 4: Using the Brother LabelLink App, the field tech can log into LinkWare Live access the same project data to generate labels!

Note: within the LabelLink App, there is a button for transferring this database to a Brother PT E550W label printer, but first you will need to connect to this printer via it’s built in Wi-Fi antenna.

Step 5: Now the database is in the PT E550W and you can create virtually any label - faceplate, cable wrap, patch panel, and more - by using smart label application keys

FAQs

What platforms are supported by the Brother app?Currently, only Apple iOS. Support for Android is coming soon!

What kinds of labels can I print?Polyester laminated labels for cables, patch panels, and faceplates and more

Can LinkWare Live help me automate creating the list of identifiers?Yes, both Versiv and LinkWare Live allow you to automate the creation of groups of identifiers by entering the first and last ID of the group. LinkWare Live will then fill in the intervening values.

About the Collaboration Together, we’ve created a new standard in datacom testing and labeling.

“LinkWare Live bridges the gap between the project manager’s office where the data for testing cables and printing labels originates, and the jobsite where Fluke Networks Testers and Brother labeling tools are used by the installation crew. For network designers, integrators and contractors, the combination of Versiv, LinkWare Live, and the LabelLink app automates multiple workflow processes and will help eliminate a major pain point in jobsite productivity. More importantly, it ensures labeling accuracy across the entire project.”

– Eric Conley, VP and General Manager of Fluke Networks

“This solution was created by two great brands combining their technologies to make network wire, cable and component testing and labeling faster and easier than ever before. It’s a real game-changer, especially for contractors engaged in standards-based labeling of large and complex datacom installations. Our Brother Mobile team is thrilled and excited to partner with Fluke Networks to introduce the LabelLink application to the world.”

– Dave Crist, President, Brother Mobile Solutions

The Advantage is Clear

“Keeping track of cable identifiers across multiple databases for testers and printers wastes time and cuts into our profitability.

Brother’s LabelLink app combined with LinkWare Live gives us the ability to use a single database for managing this important task.”

- CJ Santeford, operations manager, PowerCom
