CENTRAL Glass was founded in 1936 and has concentrated its efforts on development of innovative products on the basis of flat glass and chemical products.

Ever since the beginning of the production of ultra thin fine glass, Central Glass has been focused on R&D of eco-friendly compositions and products to lead the glass industry for human beings which are free of lead and heavy metals.

In order to guarantee a continuously supply of thin glass for display market without compensate in quality, Central Glass insist not to move the production overseas but Japan only.

化學強化玻璃是通過把玻璃浸泡在化學溶

液爐中，如硝酸鉀，化學液被升溫到預定

溫度，在高溫下 (400~450 度左右。)，玻

璃表層中離子半徑比較小的鈉離子，將游

離出玻璃表面，而溶液中離子半徑比較大

的鉀離子則被替換到玻璃裡面。經過降溫

和冷卻之後，玻璃因冷卻而收縮，使進入

到玻璃表面的離子緊緊地擠在一起，形成

應力層，增加了玻璃的強度和耐划傷、抗

破損性能。

中央硝子玻璃具有良好的平整度和厚度

均勻性，玻璃在強化過程中受熱平均，

強度均勻。

我們在化學強化加工方面擁有豐富經驗，

並且仍然不斷地在生產和研發兩方面繼

續開拓創新。

目前可提供的最大強化尺寸為 730mm x

920mm，最薄為 0.40 ｍｍ。主要應用於

電容式觸摸屏 (Sensor)，和手機蓋板上

(Cover Lens)。

Chemical Strengthen Glass

is a type of glass that has increased strength as a result of a post-production chemical process. chemically strengthened glass is typically six to eight times the strength of float glass.

The glass is chemically strengthened by submerging the glass in a bath containing a potassium salt (typically potassium nitrate) at about 400~450 °C. This causes sodium ions in the glass surface to be replaced by potassium ions from the bath solution.

Unlike toughened glass, cutting and grinding can still be applied to the chemically strengthened glass and still remains most of the additional strength.

CENTRAL has plenty of experience in Chemical Strengthen. We provide chemical strengthened glass as big as 730 x 920mm with a satisfy DOL and CS. Tough but still cut able.
