ABOUT CVCM

Centre for Vibration & Machine Condition Monitoring (CVCM) has recently been established at IST with the following objectives:

CVCM will provide machinery health monitoring services to the industries of Pakistan. Services include:

Infrared Thermography, Vibration AnalysisLaser Alignment and Dynamic BalancingOrganize Certification Condition Monitoring trainings, workshops and conferencesAcoustic & Vibration Control Shock& Vibration Testing

COURSE OBJECTIVES This course is designed for Maintenance and Design Engineers who want to apply modern vibration analysis techniques and principles for early fault detection and damage prevention in critical costly industrial machines. VA-II as an Advanced CourseVA-II course would enable the participants to sit for the VA level-II international certification exam. VA-II builds upon the foundation of the ISO 18436.2 Cat-2 Standard course. The course covers advanced techniques of data acquisition and signal processing, waveform analysis, spectral diagnostics, phase analysis, single-channel impact testing and field balancing. The VA-II course will help the plant maintenance engineers in selecting an optimized vibration monitoring program in their plants. LEARNING OUTCOMES 1. Select appropriate machinery vibration techniques 2. Perform vibration analysis on typical machines 3. Learn modern diagnostic techniques4. Perform resonance testing 5. Interpret results, make corrective recommendations
