    My Cell Cycle

AnimationCreate only one of the following animations1. Take images to show each step of the cell cycle. Makesure your images are baby step images of the entireprocess. Set your slides to automatically change to thenext slide.

    2. Create a video podcast that teaches and shows theprocess of the cell cycle. Your video may not be edited.Rehearse and complete the video in one continuous take.

You and you and your partner will observe onionroot and white fish blastula cells. On each slidethere is multiple samples for you to observe.Find a sample on the slide displaying cells in the

various stages of the cell cycle. Observe thesample in HIGH POWER. Count the cells in yourfield of view. This number will be needed tocalculate your percentages. Complete thefollowing tables for both onion root cells and

    white fish blastula.

Plant Cell Mitosis (Onion RootCells) #4

Determine the percentages of time spent in each phase of mitosis for the onion roottip using the total number of cells undergoing mitosis instead of the total number ofcells in the field of view. Place this percentage to the right of each phase.

Percentage = Number of cells in phase divided by the number of cellsundergoing mitosis.
