CellBOX-H/Hydrant can analyze signals appearing at its inputs and take actionaccording to the deployed algorithm - for example, it may react to a sudden drop in pressure or flow increase. The built-in LCD screen displays the current status of all the measured parameters. For the version of the recorder equipped with an optional GSM / GPRS modem, in addition to local data recording, it is possible to automaticallytransfer measurement results to the dispatch center. Data transmission via GPRS can be carried out in private APN networks which provide permanent IP numbers, or in public ones, where IP numbers are assigned in a dynamic way. The internal batterypack ensures operation of about 5 years, with data registration every 15 min. or less. To prolong its life in the GSM/GPRS mode (option with GSM/GPRS module) it isrecommended that an external power supply should be used.Professional telemetry and monitoring systems, remote network diagnostics (gradualregion testing, sectorization), detection and localization of bursts – all of the above can be built on the basis of the CellBOX-H/Hydrant. The logged data (e.g. minimum night flow) can be used in water loss analyses. Easy mounting in underground hydrant fangs makes CellBOX-H/Hydrant to be the perfect solution at measurement campaigns,e.g. for calibration and verification of mathematic models of water supply networks. The device could be used also at intervention control measurements for a single,ad hoc registration of parameters of a water network.The device can also be used in the process of selection of appropriate measuringdevices, e.g. water meters.CellBOX-H/Hydrant is adapted for operation with all water meters equipped with pulsetransmitters, electromagnetic and ultrasonic flow meters, and all measurementdevices by renowned companies.

Owing to its compact design and rich configuration options, CellBOX-H/Hydrant has gained a reputation of an excellent tool facilitating the daily operation of complex water supply networks. Waterproof IP68 housing made of stainless steel and luminium provides application flexibility, enabling easy mounting direct in normalized underground hydrant fangs or in any measuring point, thanks to additional 2” threaded coupling. Thanks to internal non-volatile FLASH memory and built-in pressure (optional) and temperature transducers, device performs measurements and registration autonomously.
