With the perfect weather and all the holiday décor and festivities to see and do, how could it not? Whether you are local resident or a visitor escaping from the cold, there are plenty of festive and family-fun activities to entertain you and your loved ones. Kicking off the holiday season are the holiday tree lightings that brighten your spirits. There are plenty of ceremonies throughout the Palm Beaches including Habourside Place in Jupiter, CityPlace in downtown West Palm Beach, Mizner Park Amphitheater located in Boca Raton. You can’t miss the famous 100 foot tree in downtown Delray Beach….you can actually walk into the tree! However the most unique holiday tree has to be Sandi , a 35ft tall, 600 ton sand tree located in downtown West Palm Beach. Sandi comes to life with synchronized holiday songs and light shows every 15 minutes throughout the evenings. All the tree lighting ceremonies feature entertainment and activities for all ages …some even include snow flurries! Can’t make the tree lighting ceremony? That’s okay, you can marvel at the beauty of these trees all throughout the holiday season. If you prefer candle lightings over trees, there are also Menorah Lighting ceremonies throughout the Palm Beaches including CityPlace, Delray Beach and Mizner Park Amphitheater.

New Year’s Eve

Why stand in a cold, crowded city to watch a ball drop when you can ring in the New Year in the beautiful Palm Beaches! From family-friendly events to formal black-tie parties, the Palm Beaches offers it all and for all ages.

Both the Palm Beach Zoo and the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium hold “Noon Year’s Eve” parties where children can ring in the New Year at 12 noon. The celebrations include dance parties, arts & crafts and more.

Countdown the clock with your family at “First Night”, Delray Beach’s non-alcoholic New Year’s Eve celebration. From toddlers to teenagers, the party features games and activities for everyone, food trucks and an impressive firework display to welcome the New Year.

Festivities will also be held on Clematis in downtown West Palm Beach and at Harbourside Place in Jupiter. These dynamic parties include live music, delicious drinks and plenty of restaurants where you can enjoy a mouthwatering meal.

If you want to ring in the New Year in style, dust off your tux and gown for the many formal parties held at the luxurious resorts and gourmet restaurants throughout the Palm Beaches. Be sure to make your reservations in advance as these festivities have limited space.

No matter how you choose to ring in the New Year in the Palm Beaches, a hat and gloves will not be required here, but you may need some sunscreen.
