Embassy of India Guatemala City Celebrating 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in Guatemala Embassy of India organized an event to celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Several peace lovers participated in the event. Ambassador of India spoke on the relevance of Gandhi in today’s world. Monsignor John John Kallarackal, Counselor at the Apostolic Nunciature in Guatemala, spoke on Gandhi’s life and his message. Participants paid floral tribute to Bapu. Mr. Chitta Ranjan Guha, who had an opportunity to be associated with Mahatma Gandhi in 1947-48 was the Guest of Honour. He was honoured by the Ambassador for his contribution to India-Guatemala relations. In his speech Mr. Guha narrated his admiration for Mahatma Gandhi and his association with Gandhi. Mr. Dnyaneshwar R. Yewatkar from Maharashtra, India, who has been cycling around the world and spreading the message of peace was also honoured by Ambassador. He spoke about his experience of cycling around the world and meeting peoples of different cultures.

Celebrating 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in Guatemala

Embassy of India organized an event to celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Several peace lovers participated in the event. Ambassador of India spoke on the relevance of Gandhi in today’s world. Monsignor John John Kallarackal, Counselor at the Apostolic Nunciature in Guatemala, spoke on Gandhi’s life and his message. Artist Andrea Quiñónez presented a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi to the Embassy of India. La Embajada de la India organizó un evento para celebrar el 150 Aniversario del Natalicio de Mahatma Gandhi.
