D e a r F r i e n D s :

In March of 2011, Trilogy officially celebrated its 40th Anniversary of providing mental health services. We are exceedingly proud of the continuous strides we have made during the past forty-years to provide better access to care for people recovering from serious mental illness. Trilogy began as an organization focused on Employment Services for adults with mentally illness living in the city’s northeastern neighborhoods. We now offer Supported Employment Services as well as a fully-array of Recovery Services including Integrated Healthcare, Group Services, Family Psychoeducational Services and services for the Latino community to assist our clients on their journey of recovery.

During our States’ economic crisis, we have worked hard to diversify our funding and to make a greater impact with the funds we receive from individual donors, private foundations and corporations. For example, in the fall of 2010, we partnered with Heartland International Health Center and were awarded a 1.5 million multi-year federal grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to expand our Integrated Healthcare clinic to include primary medical care for all Trilogy clients. That same year, Trilogy applied for and received a Title XX DFI funds grant that was distributed through the State of Illinois’ Division of Mental Health to create a Peer Run Drop-In Center for any individual coming to Trilogy with a mental illness. In June 2011, we were honored to host U.S. Representative Jan Schakowsky as she toured our nationally recognized Trilogy-Heartland International Health Center Integrated Healthcare Clinic and learned about our innovative program providing mental health and primary healthcare to all Trilogy clients.

We are committed to providing quality mental health services for many years to come. The “new normal” of state funding means that we have to continue diversifying our funding and collaborate with other non-profits and academic institutions to ensure that our clients receive the best quality of care. We appreciate your support and encourage you to continue to make a difference.

Sincerely,
