Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Tribute Concert to The Beatles

Cambridge Arts Organizations Collaborate on Fifth Annual Fundraiser Monday, January 9, 2017

CAMBRIDGE — Grab your sweetheart and make your way to the Dunfield Theatre Cambridge as award-winning Drayton Entertainment and the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra join together for a remarkable tribute concert to the world’s most iconic band.

All You Need Is Love: The Beatles Tribute Concert, will take centre stage Monday, February 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m.

“The music of The Beatles continues to inspire generations of music lovers” says Alex Mustakas, Artistic Director of Drayton Entertainment. “The poetry of their lyrics, memorable melodies, and rockin’ beats revolutionized music as we know it.”

Backed by the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, All You Need Is Love will feature four Drayton Entertainment performers singing from the enduring Beatles catalogue including such classics as “All You Need Is Love,” “Yesterday,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “Let It Be,” “When I’m Sixty-Four,” and “Yellow Submarine.”

The two charitable arts organizations previously collaborated together on A Salute to Broadway in 2013, The Magic of Gilbert & Sullivan in 2014, The Music of Disney in 2015, and Strike Up The Band! in 2016.

Originally a community orchestra, over the years the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra has continued to develop and attract both talented young musicians as well as seasoned veterans. The repertoire of challenging musical scores continues to expand, performing with such renowned soloists as Ben Heppner, Valerie Tryon, and Richard Margison.

“This spectacular tribute to the music of The Beatles is a wonderful way to engage our existing audience and reach out to the legion of Beatlemania fans in the community in a way that is new and interesting,” says Sabatino Vacca, Music Director for the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for youth under 20 years of age. Tickets for groups of 20 or more are $30 each. HST is applicable to all ticket prices. All proceeds go to charitable programs for Drayton Entertainment and the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra.
