CEA - Prague City GuideTRANSCRIPT
“Best part about Prague in my opinion is the food. Depart from the main road and find a small restaurant that is filled with locals and order all their specialties (even if you can’t pronounce
them). After a long day of traveling, Prague can give you the most delicious, hearty meal – and it
might be the cheapest!”
- Leah Breeze, Admissions Counselor
“I went to Prague in December and discovered that their Christmas market was incredible! So many
foods, lights and entertainment to keep anyone busy. We sat by one of the large Christmas trees drinking
hot wine, eating tasty pastries and taking in the beauty that Prague had to offer. For any student
going to Prague, I recommend visiting at least one local market while you’re there!”
- Rachel Bistodeau, Admissions Counselor
“I recommend that students go to a Trdlnik stand in Prague! Trdlniks are sweet baked dough treats sprinkled with sugar, cinnamon or nuts and are to die for. For students looking for a fun and cheap
way to see the city, I suggest renting a paddle boat down the Vltava River,”
- Michelle Pulis, Admissions Counselor
“The restaurant Stará Doba in Prague completely made my first evening in the Czech Republic. Everything from the meal, to the beer mugs, to the very chair I sat on
dripped with a medieval style. If you’re a history buff of this period like I am, this restaurant is the spot to try,”
- Maggie Zawalski, Content Coordinator
“Prague is an amazingly beautiful city, but for me what makes it so beautiful is its architecture. One of my favorite architectural sites in Prague is the
Tančící dčm “Dancing House” located in downtown. The Dancing House was designed by a Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Milunic and built in 1996.
This building is truly one of the most unique pieces of modern architecture I have seen in Europe and is
definitely worth visiting,”
- Jansen Langle, Admissions Counselor
