  • FOREWORD

This volume contains key administrative documents and is included in the deliverables to providethe reader additional sources for machine tool and precision manufacturing information andimportant points of contact in the industry. For example, this volume contains information onhow to use the MAST Home Page (http://machinetool.tstc.edu). It also contains StandardIndustrial Codes (SIC) listings of over 3,000 companies in the machine tool and metals relatedbusiness. These listings were used in the national survey.

This volume also contains useful information for current or future grant administrators, specifically those doing industrial skills standards research. It outlines some practical evaluationmodels/tools and provides information on how to track industrial assessment efforts. In addition, the minutes of key meetings provide insights into the skills standards development and curriculumupdate business.

This volume does not contain all the administrative documentation for the MAST Program. Thiscomplete set of information is voluminous. However, this information is available on CD-ROMby contacting:
