person (any person anywhere in the world)
Person
person or group of people that has its own functions with responsibilities, authorities and relationships to achieve its objectives (ISO 45001 clause 3.1)
Organization
person performing work or work-related activities, under the control of the organization (ISO 45001 clause 3.3)
NOTE – may be but does not have to be an employee or work for a contractor
Worker
person that is part of the organization (“employee”)
Person within the organization
Person in the workplace (defined as place where a person needs to be or to go by reason of work and which is under the control of the organization)
NOTE – this may be but does not have to be a worker
Person within the workplace
person or group of people who directs and controls an organization at the highest level (ISO 45001 clause 3.12)
Top management
person or organization that can affect, be affected by, or perceive itself to be affected by a decision or activity related to the OH&S management system (ISO 45001 clause 3.2)
Interested party
external person(s) providing services to an organization at a workplace in accordance with agreed specifications terms and conditions (ISO 45001 clause 3.5)
Contractor
person(s) elected or appointed in accordance with national laws, regulations and practice to represent workers’ interests as they relate to the OH&S management system (ISO 45001 clause 3.6)
