GETTING STARTEDIMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Your wrist and neck button are water resistant and should be worn in the bath or shower.

• You should set up your unit in a centrally located place in your home. This allows the two-way communication between you and the operator to work most effectively.

• Your Medical Alert account number is printed on the underside of your medical alarm unit.

• Some electrical devices or metal objects can cause radio frequency interference and prevent the signal from reaching the antenna inside your unit. In such cases, it may be helpful to relocate you unit or move the object that is preventing the signal from being received.

• Test your buttons monthly.

• During a power outage, the battery backup on the base station will last up to 30 hours on a fully charged unit.

• Do not block the Base Station’s microphone. This will affect your ability to communicate with the Emergency Response Center.
