SUMMARY: Land Use Interventions of BRT
%, BRT Stations
800m Radius from Stations
• Reduction in reliance of on car usage • Create mixed uses with ODs within walking distance. • Improvement of NMT facilities in lieu of car usage (core area) • Strengthen strategic mobility routes (EW and NS) on the periphery • Re-allocate road space away from car usage to NMT and PT usage –
within the core. • Reduce the need for parking demand (i.e. demand management,
pricing, enforcement, P&R, ICDS, limit supply) • Support and inform TRT planning and objectives (densification, NMT)
Land Use Masterplan-Short term targets

While the congestion during the construction works is frustrating it is relatively short lived in comparison to the benefits that will be available in the decades to come when these streets will be able to carry you and your children to education and work in a much more efficient manner.
