Dear COS members,

Hopefully everyone has had an enjoyable holi-day season, and I’d like to take this oppor-tunity to wish every-one a very happy and

healthy New Year.

2015 has been a great year for the Cavaliers of the South! Not only have we increased our membership in times where many dog clubs are seeing shrinking numbers, but we have remained financially strong and have in-creased our account balance. We have con-tinued to provide suc-cessful regional shows and have been fortu-nate to host interna-tionally renowned judges to evaluate our cavaliers. Without ex-ception, these judges have shared their thoughts that the Cavaliers in the United States are among some of the best in the

world.

I am both proud and thankful of the COS board and the COS membership in general for donating their time and effort to make the Cavaliers of the South the great club that it

is.

Over the last year, we have seen the launch

of our new website www.cavaliersofthesouth.org. Here we fea-ture past editions of our newsletter, The Southern Cavalier, a current events section, a mentor program, a downloadable packet for new members, and much more. This year we featured Christmas card ads to raise money for the Chatta-nooga show. These ads were featured in the show catalog and also on the website. Sev-eral volunteers, includ-ing Gwen Wells, Sharon Utych and How-ard Bales donated their time to help this project become a big success. My father, Vinton Cline, a COS member, donated many hours designing the cards which can now be viewed on our website. If you have-n’t seen them on them on our website, have a look they are truly

spectacular!

Let’s keep working to support and improve our club. Don’t forget to download the new member packet for all of your new puppy owners. If you have not read through this packet, take a few minutes to do so. It is the result of many members hard work. You can also email a link to the COS website

and this packet to the

new puppy owners.

Also, send pictures of new puppy owners and their puppies (email pics to [email protected]) so that they can be viewed on the website and become a part of our cavalier commu-

nity.

We would love (and want to encourage) all new cavalier owners to become members of the Cavaliers Of The South. The website and the new member packet can be a good resource to help ac-

complish this goal.

Keep warm through the rest of the winter and let’s look forward to the spring when we start off our show year in Williamsburg in March and Atlanta in

May. See you all then!
