Giới thiệu và cấu hình IBM DS3X00 storage

1. Giới thiệuDòng Storage 3000 được thiết kế các hệ thống lưu trữ cho các mạng doanh nghiệp vừa và nhỏ. Dòng này gồm 3 model: DS3200, DS3300, DS3400

Một số thông tin:

- New DS3000 Storage Manager V10.35 features (with firmware Version 7.35)

- Firmware upgrade validation and upgrade utility

- RAID level 6

- Increase number of drives in RAID 0 or 1 volume group

- Greater than 2 TB logical drives

- IPv6 on the management ports

- Support bundle and diagnostic data capture

- Dynamic RAID migration

- Automatic support data collection

- Configurable failed drive replacement

Các thông số hỗ trợ của từng model

Dòng DS3000 có thể kết nối 4 storage lại với nhau. Mỗi storage có thể gắt 12 disk do đó tổng số disk có thể hỗ trợ là 48 disk

Khi sử dụng 450GS SAS, thì ta sẽ có storage có dung lượng maximum là 21000GB hay 21TB

2. Cấu hình IBM DS3X00

Phần này sẽ trình bày các bước cơ bản cấu hình Storage DS3300

Chọn Array & Logical Drives để xem thông tin các array và logical drive.

Chọn Sorage Subsystem Profile, ta có thể thấy các thông tin cần thiết như Controller, Array, Logical drives…

Tạo Logical drive: Chọn thẻ config, chọn Create Logical DrivesThis image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 835x609.

Select drive type: chọn kiểu đĩa, ví dụ: SAS

Chọn Manual – Nếu bạn chọn Automatic, hệ thống tự đề xuất các cấu hình chọn lựa.

- Raid level: chọn RAID 5

- Nselected drives: chọn các disk sẽ tham gia tạo RAID, Add ( trong hình chọn 6 disk của storage 1)

- Nhấn Calculate Capacity để tính toán dung lượng storage

Trọng array đầu tiên này bạn có thể chọn hết dung lượng- khi đó chỉ tạo ra 1 logical dive mà thôi

Trong tường hợp này chọ 1000GB ( phần còn lại dùng chứa Logs)

Chọn Host sẽ kết nối đến Logical drive này

Kết thúc, chọn thẻ Summary, Array & Logical Drives để xem danh các các Logical drive đã được tạo: Mail, Logs,Database, DFS1, DFS2, DFS3

Chọn Host-to-Logical Drive Mapping: hiển thị danh sách các logical drive đã được map đến các host: Exchnage, Oracle và File server
