On Sunday, June 10th the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (BVMs) celebrated their arrival in Dubuque 175 years ago with a commemora"ve Mass and recep"on held at the Cathedral. The sisters

have been and con"nue to be an integral part of our parishes and of the larger community. We are grateful for the legacy of the sisters which intertwines with the history of our parishes.

in their love for Jesus Christ and the Church. The program promotes the Catholic faith through prayer, teaching, Chris"an witness, par"cipa"on in the Sacraments, devo"on to Mary, adora"on of the Blessed Sacrament, and lots of fun!

Hosted at the Cathedral, youth will have the added opportunity to explore the mother church of the Archdiocese!

End of Year The fiscal year for the parishes ends on June 30th, 2018. This is a good "me to review your sacrificial giving to your parish. The services and opera"on of our parishes is dependent upon your generosity.

Bereavement Support Group Hospice of Dubuque will soon be sponsoring a six-week bereavement support group. It will be open to anyone in the tri-state area who has experienced the loss of a loved one, through death, within the past twelve months. It is suggested that par"cipants wait at least three months a=er a loss before a*ending.

The group will meet on Monday evenings, from 6–8 pm, beginning Monday, July 16th through Monday, August 20th, at the Hospice of Dubuque office in the Theisen Educa"on Center, 1670 JFK Road. There is no requirement to have had a previous connec"on with Hospice of Dubu-que. The sessions are meant to be both educa"onal and emo"onally suppor"ve. Group size is limited so pre-registra"on is required by Monday, July 9th. Although there is no fee for the group, a contribu"on to defray the cost of materials would be appreciated.
