At Catapult Learning, we recognize that at-risk students
require personalized instruction that not only addresses
their skill gaps but also builds self-confidence. Our programs
have been built purposefully with these two goals in mind.
We know what’s at stake, and we know what it takes
to help students succeed.
3
Catapult Learning’s reading, math and
English programs were designed to support your
struggling learners with systematic and explicit
instruction that’s tailored to the unique needs of
your students.
All our instructional intervention programs are
delivered by highly trained educators in a small-
group setting. Our teachers create a supportive
learning environment and introduce new concepts
through scaffolded instruction and guided practice
activities that increase self-confidence and
the motivation to learn.
Our teachers and program supervisors
collaborate closely with your teachers and
staff to ensure that progress continues in
the classroom.
Our instructional programs can be delivered
throughout the school day, after school,
or as part of a summer learning program.
All Programs are Aligned to the Common Core
State Standards for Math and ELA.
Summer Learning Leap is our innovative
summer learning program that combines
intensive academic instruction with
enrichment activities and support for
teachers and families. The goal: eliminate
summer learning loss and prepare students
to transition to the next grade level.

Focusing on discrete standards, Catapult
Learning’s interim assessments provide
valuable insight into students’ prerequisite
knowledge as well as mastery of each grade-
level standard in math and reading.
Using the Catapult Learning Common Core
Interim Tests (CLCCIT) results and reporting
tools, a teacher can plan instruction knowing
exactly what skill gaps prevent a student from
mastering a particular standard.

Supporting Your Students Common Core Assessment
with
Teaching to the standards and preparing
students for the new generation assessment
tests means that students must perform at a
higher level and complete more complex and
demanding tasks. However, not every student
progresses at the same rate. With CLCCIT
reporting tools, teachers use real-time data to
inform instructional decisions.
• View test results at the district, school,
and student level.
• Drill down to see individual student
performance on specific standards.
• Use data to target instruction and
fill knowledge gaps
Expert Professional Development Support
Learn how to administer the CLCCIT, interpret
the results, and implement data-driven
instruction with professional development and
expert coaching.
How Does CLCCIT Compare to SMARTER Balanced and PARCC?
Like the tests being developed by the state
consortia, the CLCCIT tests students on essential
Common Core standards.
However, the CLCCIT tests have a different
purpose. SMARTER Balanced and PARCC
tests are being designed to give an integrated,
summative evaluation of whether students are
proficient in the Common Core at grade level
at the end of the year. The CLCCIT informs
teachers throughout the year, with results that
are ready immediately following test taking.
Also, SMARTER Balanced and PARCC are still in
development. CLICCIT is available now.
CLCCIT Assessments and Reporting Tools
CLCCIT is designed to give teachers rapid
feedback in order to immediately adjust and
differentiate instruction and deepen student
interaction with the content.
• Spans Common Core domains at
each grade level
• Assess critical readiness standards
from lower levels
• Provides both online and paper/pencil
testing
• Includes real-time detailed
dynamic reporting
• Familiarizes students with questions
similar to state test items

Step-by-Step
Catapult Learning’sBlended Learning Model For Grades K-8
Students begin the session together in
one group for the teacher’s introduction
and then are divided into two groups
based on ability:
• The first group works directly
with the teacher on the lesson
of the day.
• The second group engages with
individualized instruction and
practice opportunities via the
iCatapult Learning System.
Each student logs in to
his/her iCatapult account to access
a personalized set of education
apps, tailored to support the
student’s most significant
skill gaps.
Depending on the length of the
session, students either switch
groups halfway through the class
or switch groups every other day.
The teacher closely monitors student
progress and adjusts the learning
plan accordingly.

what the students learn in ELA classes to what
they learn in the content areas.

they discover how to:
• Develop and practice strategies
for Implementation
• Plan for the CCSS instructional changes

dynamic ways and develop a higher level of
literacy in their students.

own schedules, whenever and wherever they
want.

activities that they will use again and again.
Supporting Your Leaders Using Data
12
When students are underperforming, do you always know why?
As standards become increasingly rigorous, understanding the
trajectory of different
students with similar skills
becomes that much more
important when making
instructional choices.
To improve student outcomes,
you need to make sense of the
data. Using growth model analysis,
we dig deep into your existing
assessment results to help you
uncover what is happening in
the classroom with individual
students over time.
The process starts with an extensive needs
assessment that helps us identify your goals by
focusing specifically on your instructional data
landscape today and where you want to be.
We then incorporate student growth model analysis
to help generate an important inquiry into the
real reasons behind student performance results.
That inquiry is designed to tell you why there are
differences — and how you might support teachers,
principals, and instructional leaders as they make
important decisions about how to engage their
students and promote the most growth possible.
You gain a framework that can help you identify
effective school and teaching practices,
target instructional intervention efforts,
support coaching for teachers and leaders,
and promote growth.
Growth Model Analysis
Our Research & Evaluation team analyzes
your longitudinal trends in student
achievement using growth model analysis.
This allows us to help you focus on key
patterns, observable trends in student
achievement, and outliers.
Growth Model Seminars
We provide seminars to introduce your
leadership team to growth model analysis
as well as to take you through activities
designed to help use the analysis to drive
decisions about prioritizing professional
development and improving student learning.
Leadership Coaching
We provide job-embedded coaching for
school leaders to help use student-
growth results to inform and drive
professional development and
student learning.
Qualitative Analysis
We also offer a qualitative approach to
better understand a school’s climate.
Our team works on-site with school
leaders to gather focus group data and
conduct classroom observations of
student learning activities.

of most schools.

full-time professional
specialists. We handle
all the details, communication, and
coordination — you get seamless support
