HOW 35 years of innovation,an outstanding adventure

for MABI

1967Marc Bidaux sets up the PCBE

(Protection Chimique du Bois del’Est) company in Belfort,a company specialised in

construction wood protection,mainly for woodwork.

1969Only two years later, he designed, patented

and marketed in France the first plasticinjector with a one-way valve to treat wood

up to its core.

1970The Bidaux company is officially approvedby the CTBA (Centre Technique du Bois et

de l’Ameublement), an organisationthat validates the quality of innovativeequipment for preventive and curative

anti-wood eating insect protection.The company grows rapidly, dedicating itsresources to designing, making and sellinga range of building protection equipment.

Thus other types of injectors and severalmodels of high-pressure pumps are desi-

gned.Then was invented the plastic injectoruse for wall conditioning, helping fight

against humidity or injecting resin for mate-rial consolidation.

1983The public limited corporation is set up and

succeeds to the family-owned company.The MABI company was born. Its name is

derived from the name of its creator,Marc Bidaux.

1985An important turn in the history ofthe company, the invention of thefirst pneumatic scraper for wood-work scraping. Several others willcome later, more powerful, moreefficient, and become references

for various construction trades.Thebroad range of pneumatic scrapers, referred

to as Scrap’air, is born.

1988To develop its sales to foreign countries,

Marc Bidaux created a second company inGermany, Mabi baustoffschutz GmbH.

1992As the years go by, the company increases

its research on injection efficiency anduser-friendliness.

The mirror head injector came at an important time

of MABI’s history.The pumps are also

improved owing to theuse of increasingly corro-

sive products.

2001.The company is taken

over by Olivier Bidaux.A new look,current and strong, on the industry.

2003Anticipate is the motto. It materialises once

again in the launch into the market of anew generation injector: the flexible crown

injector for wood treatment, the outstandingqualities of which are another proof of

MABI’s technological lead.

MABI’s injectors provide outstanding injec-tion and sealness. Sealness is necessary for

proper product circulation, user protectionagainst possible projections

and site cleanness.

6.5 injectorsare recommended for injections in small

section woods with a half-perimeter under17 cm.

9.5 injectorsfor sections with a half-perimeter exceeding

17 cm.

A MABI exclusive,the patented double collar: an anti-ovalisa-

tion system providing internal headlessinjector sealness in contact with the male

connecting piece of the gun. The connectingpiece cone fits the internal surface of the

injector under high applicator pressure, andprevents unpleasant product projections.

These pumps control the product pressure from 5 to 90 bars. Each model offers a different flow:4 l / min, 6.3 l / min or 8 l / min, depending on the required use: wood treatment,masonry treatment and roof moss removal.Injection and spraying accessories are also available.

What poducts ?

The selection of materials used in the MABI piston pumps is designed for a variety of products :solvents, aqueous phases, ammonia and oil products.Viscous and two-component products, paints and varnishes however, should not be used in this equipment.
