Creative play is what Sarah’s Silks is all about. Our toys are simple, beautiful, and open-ended inspiring children to use their imagination in their daily lives.

We believe in supporting happy childhoods as well as knowing that pretend play can also help children heal from hurt. Our playsilks are used in programs all over the world in play therapy for children who have suffered hardships. For this we are proud to partner with Life is Good Foundation, the Boston Children’s Foundation and other organizations.

Pretending really is the way children learn best and how they process life experiences. When children are given simple props they use their imaginations to ‘fill in the blanks”; so a playsilk easily becomes “water” to sail a boat on, a “sling” to hold their doll in; a cape to “fly” with, and so much more. Cozy forts and play houses are built with our big silk scapes and cotton cloths. Our streamers, skytails, parachutes and playsilks encourage outdoor active play.

We hope that children and adults alike will continue to be inspired by our unique silk toys as they have been for the past 19 years.
