IntroduzioneLe opere esposte sono gesti peculiari e simboli in cui Lorenzo Brini si rifugia peresprimere emozioni e disagi del mondo contemporaneo. I suoi soggetti sonosospesi in uno spazio-tempo indefinito, forse tra l’oggi e il domani. I mezzi e letecniche attraverso cui passa l'arte del giovane artista toscano sono svariati:inchiostri, pennarelli, acrilici, smalti, tele, tavole di legno e carta. Controllato eistintivo al tempo stesso, Brini è un "irrequieto pescatore di anime". Le opereesposte nascono nel maggio del 2010, “in un momento in cui ho sentito la sen-sazione di voler essere nuovo, di cambiare qualcosa”, dice l'artista. “È proprioquando mi succede questo, che faccio venire alla luce quello che avevapreso forma dentro di me.” La creazione avviene attraverso una sorta di lottaintima per esternare pensieri, sensazioni, emozioni. Questa lotta si risolve in un'“esplosione artistica”. Il titolo della mostra si rifà proprio a questa esplosione eai soggetti dipinti: degli “omini” (man), come li definisce l'autore stesso, che ilsuo immaginario letteralmente spara (bang) sulla tela.

IntroductionThe exhibited works are peculiar gestures and symbols that are refuges inwhich the artist can express the emotions and discomforts of the contempo-rary world. His subjects are suspended in an indefinite time and space, perhapscaught between today and tomorrow. The art of this young Tuscan artisttouches upon various media and techniques: ink, markers, acrylics, enamel,canvas, wood, and paper. Both controlled and instinctive, Brini is a “restlessfisherman of souls.”The artwork at this exhibition was born in May 2010, “in amoment where I felt the sensation of wanting to be anew, to change some-thing,” states Brini. “It's precisely when this happens that I can bring to life whattakes shape inside of me.” The creation takes place through a sort of intimatebattle to expose thoughts, sensations, emotions. This battle is resolved with an“artistic explosion.” The title of the exhibition comes about thanks to this explo-sion and the depicted subjects: gli “omini” (uomini, men, thus the title's “Man”)as the artist defines them, which his imagination literally shoots (“Bang”) on thesurface of the canvas.bello”.

BiografiaLORENZO BRINI nasce a Pisa il 26 maggio 1985 e vive e lavora a Ponsacco

(Pisa). Fin da bambino sente la necessità di esprimere la sua personalità

attraverso l’arte. Artista eclettico, le sue espressioni fanno uso di molteplici

tecniche e materiali: dal disegno, alla scrittura, alla fotografia si lascia cat-

turare dalla vita, dalle emozioni del momento. Pittura e segno grafico

sono il linguaggio in cui simboli, punti e piccole frasi si fondono, a volti vitrei

ed enigmatici, conferendo mistero ai suoi quadri. La contemporaneità, il

suo sentire, accumulati e assemblati, vittime di un processo di re-

interpretazioni in continua evoluzione, diventano per lui uno stimolo per

rifugiarsi in un mondo di simboli e astrazioni, colori che si sgretolano in-

vadendo le figure. Sospeso tra mondo interno e mondo esterno, Brini rac-

conta i pensieri nel loro continuo divenire perché, come ama ripetere, “il

quadro di domani è sempre più bello”.

BiographyLORENZO BRINI was born in Pisa on May 26, 1985. He lives and works in Pon-

sacco (Pisa). Since childhood he has felt the need to express his person-

ality through art. An eclectic artist, his expressions make use of multiple

techniques and materials: from drawings to writing and photography, he

is captured by life and by the emotions of moments. Painting and graphic

signs are Lorenzo's language to express symbols, points and small phrases

that blend together; these elements are at times glassy and enigmatic

and confer mystery to his works. The contemporary and his own feelings,

accumulated and assembled together and perhaps victims of a contin-

uous re-interpretive evolution, become for Lorenzo a stimulus where he

can take refuge in a world of symbols, abstractions, and colors that fall

apart and invade his figures. Suspended between an internal and external

world, Brini recounts thoughts in their continuous state of being/happen-

ing. As he loves to reiterate, “tomorrows painting is always more beauti-

ful.”
