The 1977 Chevy Van continued the traditional look of earlier third-generation models produced during the 1970s. Multiple engine options were offered by Chevy, including gas-powered V6s and diesel-powered V8s. Tough, truck-style hubs and brakes were complemented by a dual A-Arm independent front suspension. On the outside, the van consisted of a unibody-style frame with a short nose and hood. Kit features high-backed captain’s seats, a replica CB radio, a replica cassette player, an outside-mounted spare tire housing, soft black tires, assorted chrome-plated parts and decals with custom graphics.

David Schilling enlisted in the U.S. Army in September of 1939, completing his fl ight training eight months later. Today, Schilling is best remembered for his distinguished career with the 56th Fighter Group. On December 23, 1944, Schilling scored fi ve German “kills” in one fl ight, becoming one of 38 U.S. Army Air Force “Ace-in-a-Day” pilots. The United States Air Forces Europe (U.S.A.F.E.) established the Skyblazers aerobatic demonstration team in 1949. Comprised of 22nd Fighter Squadron pilots from the 36th Fighter Wing, the Skyblazers fi rst fl ew F80B Shooting Stars. By 1955, they transitioned to the F86F-35 Sabre, which wowed airshow crowds by the thousands.
