    That is because a torque can becalculated from two sizes whichare multiplied by one another: theforce which is applied to the respective centre of rotation andthe length of the handle.

    Als een bougie uitvalt, is een verkeerd aandraaimoment meestalde oorzaak hiervan. Als het aandraaimoment te laag is, bestaatgevaar voor compressieverlies enoververhitting. Ook is een breukvan de isolator of de midden-elektrode denkbaar als gevolg vantrillingen.

    De aandraaimomenten zijn afhankelijk van het cilinderkopmateriaal en de schroefdraaddiameter
