Lilesadi is the young label of german textile and surface designer Dinah Smutny and her twin sister Sarah.They share the same passion of bringing pureness and poesy in chaotic everyday life.
The sisters translate their designs and their passion for all modern things into textiles, illustrations and home accessories. Originally hailing from Germany, both sisters studied in Italy, Dinah in Florence; and Sarah in Bolzano and later in Rotterdam, where the two decided to set up a design label.
They describe their style as a fusion between floral and graphic, minimal and poetic. They love the effect what great design can add to a space - a little fun, a little whimsy and a lot of cool.
They have since entered into a design partnership for their wallpapers with Photowall based in Sweden and they are as well producing themselves a collection of screen and digital printed cushions, scarves, accessories and graphical prints.
They strongly believe in the philosophy of individuality and craftmanship.For that reason they love to hand screen print some of their textile collections such as the ‘Fluor Up’ and ‘Miss Minty loves Mr Pistache’ collections. For their digitally printed collections they use Netherlands based manufacturers such as the textile lab in the Textile Museum Tilburg. Coming soon: a poetic ceramic series, the new wallpaper collection ‘look through me in silence’ in own production, tea towels, place mats and more scarves.
