PULL FOR THE HOUSE

Every day, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona provides a

“Home Away from Home” for families of children facing serious illness and injury.

Our recycling program serves as a significant fundraising effort, enabling us to

fulfill our mission of serving families in need.

We collect and recycle aluminum can tabs, using the funds raised to support the op-

erations of our House.

Drop off your tabs at Mountain Vista School on 2618 W. El Paseo, Oracle AZ,

Monday through Friday between 7:30am-4:00pm. We ask that you bring only the

tabs, as we are unable to accept the full cans due to storage and sanitary

considerations.

Remember, Every Tab Counts!

HOME CONTROL OF COMMUNICABLE

DISEASES

The control of communicable (catching) disease during the school year is a difficult problem and an important responsibility. The first responsibility must fall upon the home because parents know the normal appearance of their children and should be the first to detect signs of ill-ness. Frequent hand washing is the best prevention!

The following rules will help control communicable diseas-

es in the community.

1. Your child should remain at home if exhibiting any signs of ill-ness. 2. When questioning illness, your family physician is the ap-propriate person to contact to determine whether or not your child should be in school.

2. Some signs of illness:

Fever

Diarrhea

Severe Sore Throat

Draining Wound

Vomiting

All students with a fever need to remain at home until they are fever free for 24 hours without the aid of fever reducing

medication (Tylenol, Ibuprofen etc).

or district approved family vacation to be count-

ed as excused absences, the school must be noti-

fied of the absence prior to the absence or when

the absence occurs by the parent or legal guardi-

an who has custody of the student. This can be

done by a phone call to the front office at 896-

3000. Upon returning to school from an ex-

cused absence, the student shall submit a note

stating the date and reason for the absence

signed by the parent/guardian.

BABY PICTURES

Mrs. Damron is collecting baby pic-

tures of 8th graders for the slide

show at the promotion ceremony.

Please send 3-5 pictures of your 8th

grader to Mrs. Damron as soon as

possible. These pictures will be re-

turned to you. If you have any ques-

tions, please call Mrs. Damron @ 896

BUS PASSES AND YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY

A reminder to parents, students are required to

bring a note to the office if they need a bus pass.

For your child’s safety, phone calls will not be

accepted.

It is extremely difficult and disrupting to the

classroom when parents call with last minute

changes. Please send a note with your child if

he/she has any change in their regular drop off.

CHILD PICK UP

Parents, if you need to pick up your child before

the end of the day you always need to sign them

out in the office. After you have signed them

out one of the ladies in the office will call the

classroom and request the child be sent to the

office. This is for the safety of the child.

CHILD FIND

Child Find is a process to “find” children

who may have a delay in development or a

disability. Oracle School District can help

children with disabilities from birth

through 21 years of age. We provide spe-

cial education services for eligible chil-

dren. If you have concerns about your

child’s development or progress in school,

contact the Oracle School District Special

Education Department @ 896-3052

LOST AND FOUND

articles of clothing in the lost and found. Nu-

merous jackets, sweaters, shirts, etc. have been
