  • EconomicalConsumable useis highly reduced. There is no filmconsumption ofU.V.-lights, ink orother chemicals. And the engravingprocess itself requiresno water, so you don't havea 'wet area' in your productionfacility.

QualityAn advanced laser controlsystem and the precise focusof the beam lead to sharperengraved edges and anextreme fine reproduction ofdetails. Agrios patented multi-beam laser technology canachieve particularly highlevels of accuracy. The quali-ty levels achieved by laser-based units are unparalleledin flexo engraving.

Error reductionLaser engraving is a fullyautomated process in whichmanual handling is reducedto a minimum. The possibi-lity of human errors isconsequently muchlower.

RepeatabilityRunning repeatorders have neverbeen easier. As it is a digitalsystem, you simply load theappropriate data file and yoursystem is ready to engrave. The potential for errors is vir-tually zero, and consistencyis guaranteed.

Environmental impactNo U.V.-light is necessary, sothe process does not produceany toxic run-off. All in all, thelaser engraving process isconsiderably better for envi-ronment and operator thantraditional chemical-basedmethods.

Stork direct laser engravingsystems are the ideal plat-form for taking your flexoplate or rotary screen engra-ving process to a higherlevel. Faster, more efficient, high quality, economical, lessenvironmental impact: thereare many ways in which ourlaser engraving systems canimprove your business.Furthermore, these systemsare completely digital, andwill therefore provide cutting-edge engraving well into thefuture.

Direct laser engraving is atechnology which time hasclearly arrived. There aregood reasons why it is prefe-rable to other CTP methods:

Process stepsSome conventional proces-ses require many differentsteps to create a flexo-prin-ting form. With the StorkNeos, Helios, Agrios andMorpheus direct laser engra-ving systems there is effecti-vely only one: the laserengraving itself. This obvious-ly simplifies and acceleratesthe production process.

SpeedAgrios is the fastest laserengraver of flexo-printingforms on the market.

  • Easy-to-useStork laser engravingsystems are simple to use.Process data can also bestored for future use.

Working areaA conventional configurationwould typically include sepa-rate units for UV exposure, chemical washing, drying andafter exposure. With Storkdirect laser engraving, allthese are replaced by a sin-gle engraving unit, whichrequires an average of 30%less floorspace. Spacesavings with the Morpheus621X are even higher, because you have a rotarytextile screen and flexo plateengraver rolled into one.

Leaders in laser engravingWe were the first company tointroduce laser engraving; adevelopment that revolutioni-sed the way textile screensare engraved. Today we can

call on more than two deca-des of experience in thedevelopment and manufactu-re of leading laser engravingsystems such as the Neos,Helios, Agrios and Morpheus

  • Stork offers with its newdirect engraving systemshigh- end functionality, settinga new engraving standard forsimple workflow, quality andproductivity for labels andpackaging.

Software workflowThe Neos, Agrios, Helios andMorpheus systems are sup-plied with FlexoPOWERimage preprocessing soft-ware. This softwaregives the user excep-tional levels of con-trol in defining dotshape and sharp-ness. The plateau, image area, shoul-der angle, undercut, relief depth and basesize can be precisely speci-fied in this powerful yet easy-to-use package.

FlexoPOWER is an interacti-ve connecting softwaremodule for flexo pre-process-ing. It links existing front-endand RIP applications to Storkengraving systems.

The FlexoPOWER pre-pro-cessing software takes in nor-malised data, produced databy an existing workflow, generates customer defineddot-shapes and outputs toStork engraving systems.

Developments have beenmade especially for the pro-duction of sleeves and plates.

The software thereforesupports multiplerepeat views withpixel correct viewing

    of repeats includingconnections.

The software runs ona Windows platform

under single and multipleprocessor architecture. Full64 bit support for all functionsis a standard.
