Sydney Rowing Club is pleased to be offering a range of casual event spaces as an alternative to it’s formal event facilities.

These spaces are designed to meet the “more fun, less formalities” needs for those wishing to celebrate a special occasion without the fuss and cost of a formal event. Perfect for casual birthdays, engagement parties, anniversaries, corporate drinks and many other casual celebrations.

T H E L A W N This is the perfect area for groups of 20 to 30. Enjoy the exclusivity of this space with idyllic water views over a

few drinks and share style food with friends. * °

guests. Located only metres from the waters edge, this area is a hidden secret often labelled as the “gem” of the club. Enjoy the exclusive use of this area as you watch the abundance of activity

on the water go by. *

Seating 15 to 20 guests, this exclusive area is the perfect location on a hot summers

day as you take advantage of amazing water views while the sun filters

through the thick foliage above.

Are underage guests able to attend my event?The Lawn is an age restricted area so we are unable to accommodate any guests under the age of 18 in this area. The Foreshore and Figtree areas however are family friendly. Any minors need to be in the company of a parent or guardian

Are there any booking fees?Yes, The Foreshore is $200, The Lawn is $150 and The Figtree is $100

How long do I have exclusive access to the area?Lunch bookings from 12pm - 5pm and dinner bookings from 6pm till close

What are the maximum numbers for the casual event spaces?The Foreshore 50 The Lawn 30 The Fig Tree area 20

What is the latest time my event can run to?Sunday – Tuesday 10pmWednesday – Thursday 11pmFriday – Saturday 12am

Can I play my own music in the casual event space?Yes, portable speakers may be used. We just ask that you be mindful of our neighbours and other patrons when playing music in our casual event spaces

What happens in the event of bad weather?In the event of poor weather we will do our best to relocate your group to another area of the club. This however will not be a private space. Otherwise we are happy to refund your booking fee if you need to cancel due to weather

Can I decorate the casual event space?Areas may be decorated on the proviso that decorations are taken down on completion of your event. Strictly no confetti

Do I need to be a member to book one of the casual event spaces?We do require that the host of each casual event is a current member of Sydney Rowing Club. Membership must be completed before the allocated booking time. Its quick to sign up and can be completed on the dayMembership is $25 for a year or $60 for three years and includes a $30 bar tab in the month of your birthday each year

What are my catering options? And can I bring my own cake? Unfortunately we do not permit self-catering. The club has its own in-house catering team including an award winning pastry chef. Share platters and cakes can be pre-or-dered using the catering form on the casual event web page. Alternately meals can be purchased from the Watergrill on the day. What are my beverage options?Drinks can be purchased from the main bar as you go or a beverage tab and wristband system can be organized on the day. As a member of Sydney Rowing Club you will receive 10% back off all main bar purchases including tabs.
