The natural beauty of ironwork can complement anyarchitectural style while providing safety, security andprivacy. With today's finishes, such as COLORGALV®*, it isvirtually maintenance free. Stronger and more durablethan cast iron, tubular steel or aluminum, it is in someapplications practically indestructible.

In addition to fabricating customdesigns, we have a productline of standard fencing andgates. Our collection of stylesresponds to the demand for ahigher standard of quality inreadily available designs madewith solid pickets instead offrom tubes. Cassidy Brothers' wrought iron gatesare offered in many traditional styles.A representative selection of modelsare shown on the right. Additionalstvles are available in our Cataloaueof Traditional Wrouaht Iron Fences andGates. Quality of design, materialsand craftsmanship are what make ourgates superior to the standardsavailable today. Pickets and framesare made from solid material. Allscrollwork is hand forged by ourblacksmiths. When ordered for newmasonry columns, gates include asteel superstructure to reinforce thecolumns. This important componentincludes pre-fit hinges as well asoptional gate operator hardware. Thiskey element provides an extremelysimple method for accurate and fastgate erection. Our gate hinges arean extremely heavy duty design using1" x 3" thick material and a 1" diameterstainless steel pintle sleeved with abronze bushing and bronze washer.Gates are available for 12', 14', 16'and 20' wide openings by 6' columnheights.

Pickets: Solid 5/8" or 3/4" square in eitherforged from one piece or with cast iron finials.

Rails: l"x 2"x 3/16" channels either straightacross of curved perspecified design.

Vertical Frames: Fromsolid 3/4" x 2" frame. Topfinials may be forged perindividual designs.

Hinge Posts: Also calledthe superstructure, madefrom 4-1/2" OD schedule40 pipe with hinges weldedto pipe as one piece.Optional gate operatorhardware may beattached for hydraulic gate operators.Hinges from 1" x 3" solid material with 1"diameter stainless steel pintles sleeved withbronze bushings and bronze washers.

Hardware: Basic hardware for gates withoutgate operators includes a forged verticalcane bolt from 5/8" solid round bar onpassive leaf and heavy padlock tabsmounted on the inside. Any other lockingdevice can be custom ordered.

Scrolls: Hand forged with tapered ends from1/4" up to 3/4" solid material. Decorativecollars are standard on many gate designs.

Finish: All material is steel grit blasted,primed with two-part epoxy primer and finishcoated with two-part aliphatic polyurethane.

COMPONENT SPECIFICATIONS

Pickets: Solid 5/8" square in either forged from onepiece or with cast iron finials. The top six modelsshown are with pickets at 6" on center for privacy andsecurity applications. The lower two models are withpickets at 4 1 /2" on center and comply with mostguardrail and swimming pool enclosure codes.

Rails: 3/4" x 1 1 /2" x 1 /8" channels by 77 5/8" inlength to accomodate posts at 6'8" on center. Postspacing for raked fence panels must be measureddiagonally. Some designs use posts at 6'2" on centerwhen an odd number of pickets is needed for sym-metry of alternating picket styles. Bottom two designs,Montvale and Wellington, have posts at 6'6" on center.

Paste: 2" x 2" x 3/16" square tubes with standard castiron finials. Post lengths are provided in standardfence heights with either 8" added for wall mountinginto cored holes or with 24" added for installation intoearth. For the latter, a 6-8" diameter hole by a mini-mum of 2'6" is recommended.

Scrolls: Hand forged with tapered ends from 1 /4"x 1/2" solid material. Decorative collars add afinishing touch when used with scrolls and areavailable at an additional charge.

Finish: All material is steel grit blasted, primedwith two-part epoxy primer and finish coated withtwo-part aliphatic polyurethane.

CASSIDY BROS. FORGE, INCCassidy Bros. Forge incorporates methods of

construction which exceed current standards ofquality. Moving parts for gate hinges and latches aremade of stainless steel and long wearing bronzebushings. A steel superstructure with hinges andoptional gate operator brackets attached are includ-ed with all driveway entrance gates intended to havemasonry columns. We specify column foundation sizeand depth to guaranty adequate gate support andprotection against frost. Wherever possible, allironwork is over-designed for each application toensure that it will maintain its original shape andappearance for a lifetime. All ironwork is properlyprepared for finishing by steel-grit blasting in our grit-blasting facility and painted with a two-part epoxy

In addition to manufacturing, Cassidy Brotherswill assist an architect or designer in planning andestimating projects to be included in contractspecifications. We provide detailed AutoCad drawingswith any special instructions for installations. Usingcurrent digital technology, we can provide scaledcolor prints for presentations depicting our products orcustom designs into the images.
