Bayboro’s design roots were in the South Bay collection. The collection’s casual design is influenced with a hint of Shaker in the clean, straight lines and country in the gentle curves and finish. The Klaussner Home Casegoods construction standards are used for this collection. The light and semi-transparent golden Driftwood finish shows off the cathedrals in grain of the rustic acacia veneers. In some places streaks of minerals were imbedded in the wood grain as the trees grew. There’s a bit of white hang-up in the finish that gives an antiqued look to the finish. Rustic acacia veneers feature inherent natural character markings such as knots, color variation, and bees-wing cross. Cup pulls in an oxidized, antiqued brass finish used throughout the collection giving, a casual appearance.

The wood species is from Asia and is highlighted with many highs and lows creating a very comfortable finish. Cabria is finished in a light brown color that allows you to see the action of the Mango wood. This design features a triangular heavy molding framing the cases and beds. This creates a substantial feel and gives Cabria an over scaled touch. The story on top of all this is the custom hardware is one of the most substantial pulls every used on a residential collection.

The poster bed demands attention with dramatic turned posts that begin with an egg-shaped finial at the top and descends to the foot with a series of concave and convex shapes separated by a series of ringed turnings. Lynhurst Bedroom is a fresh revisit of classic traditional design with its beautifully shaped moldings, beaded molding framing and the dramatic crest moldings on the bed headboard and mirror. Birch veneers with their twisting grain patterns reflect light in interesting ways. A horizontal plank effect is used for the headboard and three sections are framed with bead moldings. Tapered block feet on the drawer chest, dresser, bed footboards, night stand and media chest have a shaped bracket at the bottom rail of each case piece. The top drawers on the drawer chest, dresser are paired, giving the appearance of two drawers but the performance of one deeper drawer.

Palais 400 collection

Classic Louis Philippe design influences are felt throughout the Palais collection and its occasional pieces. Tables rest on cabriole-shaped legs with reeded fronts and a scroll on the top of the leg where it joins the table apron. The wide apron is also curved inward at its center and outward where it joins the table top and legs. Four concave, curved caps accent the apron where the legs join it. The tabletop’s edge is generously shaped, echoing the shaping of the molding at the base of the apron. Pie-shaped cuts of veneer are used for top of the lamp table and shelves on the other tables. The end, cocktail and sofa tables have etched glass tops, framed in wood with a pieced veneer pattern.

The juxtaposition of wood and metal is unrefined and the heavily distressed clove finish used on the wood presents a rough-hewn appearance. Serenade 975 collection

Sinuous curves shape every edge in the Serenade occasional collection. There are no straight lines. A double serpentine shaping defines the tables’ edges and the profile of its apron. Tabletop corners have a radius edge like the outside radius edge of the four legs that support it. Between the tabletop and apron is a recessed frame that suggests the movement of the tabletop floating above the apron. A starburst veneer pattern is used for the field of the tabletops and it is separated from the banded edges by a dark inlay line. Tapered legs have a subtle radius edge on the outside and a slight saber taper on the inside edges. Slim bead molding defines the edges of the apron and table legs.

Westbury 418 collection

The design of the table tops and aprons in this occasional collection focuses on the division of space and features the beauty of the Mindy veneer. Table tops have four, six or nine panels of wood or inset glass, divided and framed with picture frame molding. Diagonally opposite panels are either wood or glass. Even the table aprons are framed with molding and some are divided in half or thirds. The tabletops are fastened to an inset frame that gives the appearance that the tops are floating above the apron. Tapered legs form the corners of the framed aprons, connecting from the table top to the floor. Beveled, tempered glass is used for tabletop insets. The sofa, end and chair side table have a lower shelf.
