Whywastheprogrammerun?SalfordRoyalhadanumberofITleaderswhohadreceivedsupporttodeveloptheirtechnicalskills,butwerenowatapointintheircareerwheretheyneededtofurtherdeveloptheirleadershipskills.TheITLeadershipProgrammewasini@ated‘toequipleaderswiththenon-technicalskillstheyneedtoleadeffec@vely;tosetdirec@on,andtogetthebestoutofthemselvesandtheirteams.’
Approach:Theprogrammewasdesignednotasa‘trainingcourse’,butasanopportunityforthegrouptobeempoweredtolearnandgrowtogether,andtogrowasateam.

Allpar@cipantsusedtheNHSLeadershipAcademyHealthcareleadershipmodel360degreefeedbacktooltogatherfeedbackfromtheirmanagerandarangeofpeers,directreports,andstakeholders.Theresul@ngfeedbackwasdeliveredduringafacilitatedsessionwhichestablishedasolidfounda@onfortheprogrammeasitprovidedpar@cipantswithaviewonwhotheyare(andhowtheysucceed)alongwithaveryhonestperspec@veontheirperformance.
